Tragic love, the power of ambition, free will, and other critical topics were all raised by Shakespeare. However, Shakespeare is also known to be a great contributor to the English language and literature. Yet his accomplishments do not stop at this, considering that the author formed a template for plays widely used in cinema nowadays. Overall, Shakespeare continues to be relevant after more than 400 years after his death because of his influential contribution to literature and theater.

To begin with, Shakespeare presented crucial topics in his pieces, such as death, love, power, and fate, to name a few. These issues will relate to people no matter how much time passes, considering that they are linked to human nature. For instance, in the modern world, where career accomplishments are so significant, people are more than likely to resonate with the downfall of Macbeth because of his ambitions. Furthermore, individuals can find similarities in Shakespeare’s characters, that are rich in personality and learn from their mistakes.

In addition, Shakespeare managed to change the primary purpose of theater by focusing on audience behavior and how the stories affected viewers. In fact, no playwrights before him could appeal to the onlookers because he presented the life of ordinary and not privileged people (Jaramillo). As a result, the theater became accessible and of interest to low-income families and not uniquely devoted to only the affluent and the educated (Jaramillo). His firm focus on the audience shaped the modern cinema industry, considering that contemporary directors strive to impact the viewers in the same way Shakespeare used to.

To sum up, Shakespeare was a true master of writing since he concentrated on sharing relatable stories that taught viewers and readers crucial lessons. Thus, his characters and topics remain valid to this today since people no less resonate with his tales and views. Moreover, his persistence in making a significant impact on his audience made theater accessible to every person and shaped the modern cinematic arts.
