Introduction
Tackling a prompt can be challenging, especially if it is in an area you are not familiar with. However, following the steps outlined, you can approach any prompt with confidence and clarity. Formulating a personal position or perspective is crucial. Your gut instincts and personal philosophy are unique to you, which will make your response stand out from others (Garrard, 2017). Sharing your perspective with a mentor can be beneficial because it allows you to hear different opinions and viewpoints and refine your response further.
Steps of Tackling Prompts
- Step #1: The prompt has no confusing or ill-defined words or phrases.
- Step #2: The central point of the prompt is the experience of using PRISMA Flowcharts (see Appendix), folders, and the Review Matrix simultaneously. This experience could significantly impact how researchers approach and conduct their literature reviews. Any irrelevant information should be crossed out.
- Step #3: My work with PRISMA Flowcharts, folders, and the Review Matrix was incredibly positive. By using these tools in conjunction with one another, I could organize my sources and track my progress effectively. The Review Matrix helped me to compare and contrast the information gathered from different sources, while the folders made it easy for me to locate specific documents quickly. The PRISMA Flowchart was an excellent way to keep track of the number of records I had reviewed and helped me to identify any gaps in my research. Figure 1 represents the chart and provides all the required information in a high-level, short, and informative.
In my opinion, using these tools can significantly improve the quality of literature reviews by making them more organized, efficient, and thorough. These tools allow researchers to compare and contrast information easily, track their progress, and ensure they have reviewed all relevant sources.
Conclusion
In conclusion, following these steps can make it easier to tackle any prompt, regardless of the subject area. Breaking it down into manageable steps allows you to understand the prompt’s meaning and focus on its central point. Formulating your response based on your personal philosophy and sharing it with a mentor can help you create a thoughtful and well-informed response.
