Academia organization was founded on core values of integrity and fairness to all in the course of providing efficient services to all our esteemed customers. All customers have to be given priority in this case and should be treated with courtesy and respect. The organization shall respect the law and engage only in legal activities that advocate for transparency and accountability.
Mission and vision
Our organization has the corporate mission of being the leading provider of ICT and cyber services within the region to enhance the improvement of the sector in the community.
About Academia
The Academia organization was founded by three directors, namely James, David and Duen.
The organization was formed as a partnership to offer cyber and other ICT-related services to the people and the community at large.
In the organization structure we have three directors at the top of the organization hierarchy.
Below the directors there is one operations manager who oversees the daily activities of the organization. We also have two assistant managers who coordinate and ensure the smooth running of activities within the organization daily.
All other junior employees fall under and are in charge of facilitating activities within the organization.

The EEOC Statement
In the course of the endeavor by the organization to fulfill the set objectives this organization shall seek to provide equal opportunities for all who are seeking employment or are employed by the organization. There shall be no discrimination whatsoever based on sex, color, religion or creed, handicap or age.
It shall always be the policy of Academia to provide equal opportunities for all and undertake all personnel practices such as selection, promotion, termination, transfers, and layoffs without any form of discrimination based on color, creed, sex, religion or age.
It shall remain the policy of Academia that.
Any policy which discriminates against based on color, age, gender or religion shall not be let to stand.
Affirmative action shall be undertaken to ensure that there are no employment inequalities especially for the minority groups like women.
These policies shall apply to all human resource practices within the organization.
Race, color, age or sex shall not be the determinant of how services shall be offered to the public.
Implementation of the EEOC policies successfully shall benefit the organization in terms of improvements even in the underutilized human resources.
Policies and Rules
All the members of the organization shall abide by the established rules and policies of the organization. The chain of command must always be followed when articulating issues within the organization. All employees have to observe punctuality in all their duties and must carry out their duties as required by the organization’s policies.
All employees must uphold respect for one another and the clients.
All employees must protect the good image of the organization and protect other assets belonging to the organization.
Disclosure of confidential information concerning the organization is not allowed and all employees must guard against this.
The use of company names for other businesses is highly prohibited.
Conduct of employees
It is the policy of the company that all employees observe the following code of ethics while at their workplace.
All employees must ensure that they are presentable all the time at the various workplaces.
All employees are required to uphold high standards of discipline while at their workplace.
Employees must strive towards good working relations in the organization.
While at their workplace all employees must ensure that their minds are sober. Intoxication in any form shall not be tolerated.
Any form of harassment towards co-workers or clients shall not be tolerated and the culprits shall face disciplinary action.
Malicious misuse or damage of the organization’s property shall not be tolerated and the culprits shall face stiff penalties.
Any employee who knowingly violates the code of ethics for the organization shall face stiff actions including dismissal from the company without further advice.
Benefits
Payments
All employees shall receive their paychecks on the first day of the month without delays.
The organization provides a variety of benefits to its employees.
These benefits form part of the compensation the organization gives all the employees.
Full-time employees who work all the time are qualified for the full–time benefits.
The organization benefits policy allows domestic partners who may not be married but are committed. The company recognizes partners who had the decision to come together and share their lives. For such to be recognized they must be within a committed and mutually beneficial relationship. Partners who feel that they are eligible must sign a Declaration of domestic partnership which determines their eligibility for the organization’s benefits.
Safety/health policies
The organization shall always seek to provide adequate security and health for all the employees. It is the concern of the organization that all employees and customers are well-protected while they are on the organization’s premises. Every employee is responsible for working cooperatively with others to minimize accidents that may occur in the course of executing their duties. It is mandatory that all employees work by federal, state, and even local standards so as to ensure the security of everybody.
The organization works under the Federal Occupational safety and health Act and all other laws that are applicable to the establishment.
Safety will always come first in the organization. Senior employees of the organization must ensure that they avail the employees of those safety requirements of the company.
Safety has been given priority by the organization. The organization ensures that the working areas are free from health hazards and any other related risks. All assistant managers are supposed to assist the employees in knowing the safety requirements. Every employee is expected to observe safety requirements while in the execution of their duties within the organization’s premises.
While at the workplace all employees are required to report to the various assistant managers any health or security issues that may arise.
Labor relations
Employees of the organization are free to join labor unions but they should carry it out within the policies of the organization.
The organization shall carry out its activities while observing the already established labor.
The organization shall endeavor to provide the best working environment and terms for all the employees while observing all their rights.
Final statement
The organization shall endeavor to support all the employees in the course of their pursuit towards full exploitation of their potentials. All employees must reciprocate this by hard work and commitment to make Academia a better place than they found it.
