There are indications of the name of the authors and/or reviewers. The authors and reviewers comprise doctors and health professionals across a wide range of speciality areas. However, the email addresses are absent. Therefore, the site can be considered relatively accurate.
Authority
Documents are published by the Webmaster, which is the WebMD. (WebMD, 2019). Thus this illustrates the document as authoritative.
Objectivity
The documents appear to be objective and unbiased. This is because they contain information that comprehensively tackles the topic at hand. Furthermore, the material is written in a fashion that can be easily understood by individuals not involved in the health profession, i.e., the target audience. Lastly, the documents contain factual rather than opinionated medical information, thus the site can be considered unbiased.
Currency
The date of creation and review can either be present or absent. Moreover, all the links are up-to-date. Overall, the site is current and updated.
Coverage
The information associated with the links is properly cited and compliments the various topics. The document comprises of texts only. There are no images available. The site is independent of subscription fees, browser technology, or, special software requirements.
Personal Opinion
Based on my review, I would recommend the site to the target audience. This is because it contains detailed information which is easy to understand. However, medical students or professionals cannot use it when performing in-depth research. This is because it contains less detailed information that cannot be used to evaluate diseases from an advanced practice perspective.
