The current situation in the healthcare system has been developing in a way that hospitals are not able to satisfy the high demand for treatment. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, hospitals have been experiencing many patients that the healthcare system cannot meet. This factor inhibits the healthcare system from developing because there might not be enough resources to fulfill the demands. Therefore, there might be insufficient resources to evolve the healthcare system further. Establishing a suitable resource management system is essential to reduce the need for healthcare services. For instance, it is critical to allocate funding received by hospitals to the development of technologies and other factors that will help improve the healthcare system.
Management in healthcare is one of the essential factors in developing the hospital system and, at the same time, one of the factors inhibiting healthcare from developing. Several studies, including the report from WHO, identified that many hospitals are experiencing a lack of communication and proper collective action (Mair et al., 2017). Since communication is one of the most critical factors in the work of any organization, it is essential to establish a collaborative spirit.
Another factor that is essential to healthcare and is being neglected is technological advancement. One of the recent studies about developing the healthcare system has shown that reasons stop healthcare from digitalization. Some primary reasons for this inhibition are “addressing organizational issues; confidence and accountability; roles, responsibilities and training” (Mair et al., 2017). It is crucial to set up employee training and incorporate technologies to adapt technology in the healthcare system. That will lead to convenient e-healthcare that can provide management with better communication and satisfy the high demand for hospital treatment.
