The story of the Flint water crisis began many years ago. A shrewd lawyer initiated a judicial investigation against the city’s water supply organization. Those responsible were accused of embezzlement of funds allocated to modernize the city’s water supply system. In addition, questions to the municipalities also arose about the unjustified increase in water tariffs. After the contract with Detroit’s water supplier was terminated, the city was left without a strategic resource and forced to urgently connect to the Flint River intake. However, the water coming to the residents was poisonous because lead was released into it. It was decided to organize a major repair of the water system in Flint, for which substantial funds were allocated. The factors that caused the water crisis in this city can be considered negligence of the authorities, ambiguous and contradictory instructions of environmental protection agencies, and corruption.

People lead miserable lives while bureaucrats and politicians increase their wealth through corruption. Unfortunately, Flint is recognized as one of the poorest communities in Michigan. Without the support of the state and federal governments, it cannot cope with the water crisis on its own. The huge number of victims, the inability to find a quick solution to the problem, and the blatant negligence of the authorities make this situation a crisis.
