Shifts in Management Practices from the Past to the Present
HR managers have been working closely with line managers to recruit, hire, fire, administer, and assess people for firms. However, changes in personnel management have a significant impact on how people view how well employers are handling their HR responsibilities (Robbins & Judge, 2018). People management appears to be heading towards personnel-centricity (Mushkudiani et al., 2020). There was a shift from taking into account the pure interests of customers to taking care of staff.
The methods and approaches used by the HR department are always evolving. As a result, many firms are rethinking how they have structured their HR departments. These HR centers operate via centralized call centers or intranets, which are centralized networks. Numerous innovative training apps and websites like Knack, Gild, and True Office allow businesses to integrate gaming characteristics in training, performance evaluation, and recruitment. These websites also coincide with feedback, humor, and game-specific targeting. These things help managers create maximum benefits for customers and the company and comfortable conditions for employees who are at the stage of shifting this task manager’s low priority status to high.
