There is no use denying the fact tact that modern society can be characterized by very complicated structures. A great number of different institutions regulate the life of people and influence their well-being and health. The work of all these institutions should be coordinated and organized for them to work efficiently. It is also obvious that it demands a certain amount of money and the efforts of a great number of people. Under these conditions, it becomes obvious that the spheres of activity that are more significant for people demand more spending. The issue of health care is of this sort. The more developed society is the more money is spent on the health of people. However, it does not mean that situation improves. The article Health Care Spending: Large Differences, Unequal Results is devoted to this issue.

The thing is that nowadays more and more people start realizing the fact that money, which is spent on healthcare, does not lead to the improvement of this sphere. Government nowadays devotes 3 trillion dollars to this very issue (Health Care Spending: Large Differences, Unequal Results, n.d.). Moreover, it was proclaimed that an even greater sum should be devoted to it. At the same time, the level of incomes of people increases not so fast and it is possible to watch the basis for the appearance of dissatisfaction with the existing system and amount of money which is spent. The thing is that people still think that the medical sphere is not invested as it should be. However, they are not ready to spend more money on it because higher spending on health care does not prolong the lives of people (Health Care Spending: Large Differences, Unequal Results, n.d.).

The article also states the fact that the USA spends more money on health care than any other country in the world and it is about 4500 $ per person (Health Care Spending: Large Differences, Unequal Results, n.d.). Nevertheless, life expectancy in the USA is still not high. Many countries have better life expectancy though spend less money on health care. This fact proves the idea that an increase in the level of investments does not always lead to the improvement of the state of health of people. The article underlines the fact that Cuba, with its bad conditions for living and problem of poverty, ranks 28th in the world (Health Care Spending: Large Differences, Unequal Results, n.d.), though it spends just 186$ per person. This fact shows that some other ways to solve the problem of health care and high investments should be chosen.

Having analyzed the article devoted to the issue of healthcare and money spent on it, it is possible to make a certain conclusion. Nowadays, much money is spent on health care in the USA. However, it is also possible to say that this sum is not enough to satisfy the existing need of the population, and the level of dissatisfaction increases. The thing is that nowadays people need more complicated and qualified treatment which, though, costs a lot. However, the current sum is not enough. Additionally, great investments are not the only possible solution to existing problems. Many countries spend not so much money on this issue, though, have a better life expectancy. They can serve as good evidence to this statement. With this in mind, it is possible to say that the issue of health care and money is still rather topical nowadays.
