The association of public health laboratories is an important organization that will have an impact on my career because it seeks to protect the public as far as health and safety are concerned. It should be known that the organization has experienced a lot of changes because of advancements in laboratory systems. In this case, the organization’s policies and practices have been changing as time goes by based on consistent and current information. The organization has been forced to restructure its membership to accommodate various individuals who might have an interest in laboratories (APHL, 2011, p. 2). The organization has been in existence for a long time meaning that it has undergone a lot of changes as time goes by. The mission of the organization is to enhance the role of laboratories in shaping various objectives. On the other hand, it seeks to promote policies that will enhance the quality of laboratories.
As far as its vision is concerned, it seeks to ensure that we have a healthy world through better laboratory services. It is undeniable that the association of public health laboratories and their membership will change as time goes by. This is about the impact of technology on the healthcare delivery system because it is always changing. Its membership will evolve about various health hazards and emerging diseases that are witnessed. Because technology is changing every day, the organization will have to enhance and improve its partnerships for the general wellbeing of the public (APHL, 2011, p. 4). The need for environmental testing has emerged as one area that needs immediate attention for long-term sustainability. Global health trends are also changing drastically meaning that the organization will be forced to evolve to remain relevant.
The American medical association has been in existence for a long period thereby uniting various students and physicians throughout the country. It should be known that the organization has been successful because of various changes that have been undertaken to enhance its operations. Physicians are supposed to practice in different locations meaning that the organization should be instrumental in taking care of their welfare. The organization’s membership has been decreasing in recent years meaning that they have to reinvent themselves by embracing changes (AMA, 2011, p. 3). In addition, the organization has been forced to take positions on national matters to enhance the welfare of physicians in the country for long-term sustainability. All in all, the organization has been working hard to unite all students and physicians by offering them new resources.
American medical associations’ mission is to revolutionize the whole aspect of medicine for better provision of healthcare. In addition, the organization seeks to raise funds for medical education and ensure that the interest of patients and physicians is taken care of. The organization lobbies for legislation that will take care of both patients’ and physicians’ interests. The organization’s vision is to help doctors so that they can help patients with an aim of promoting public health. It is undeniable that the organizations’ membership has been declining as time goes by and this means that it will have to undertake certain changes to attract more members. Because technology in medicine is always changing and evolving, the organization needs to invest more in medical education to match current societal needs (Frum, 2000, p. 35). The healthcare delivery system needs good solutions for long-term sustainability which means that the organizations have to focus on ethics.
