Introduction
HIV is one of the most prevalent health issues in the United States, and people with the condition are coming across diverse challenges that medical professionals should not neglect.
Jessica’s Story
For example, VICE TV (2021) provided the story of Jessica, who was diagnosed with the issues several years ago. She states that sometimes there is a feeling of vulnerability and fear that people do not love her. Moreover, Jessica is often scared to talk about her status in public. Therefore, the problem that should be addressed by those who work in the industry is the massive spread of information among young people who should know that, with the use of the right treatment, HIV is not transmissible, and healthy children can be born.
Tiffani’s Story
Tiffani was diagnosed with HIV in 2016, and could not accept the status for a long time. Her first thoughts were suicidal, and she could not cope with her emotions (VICE TV, 2021). Now, Tiffani is open to telling her story and spreading information about toxic relationships. Her boyfriend had a sexual connection with many people and was diagnosed with HIV. The problem was transferred to Tiffani, and now she wants to motivate families to look after their children and protect them from toxic connections.
Johnerio’s Story
VICE TV (2021) showed the story of Johnerio, a representative of the LGBTQ+ community from the South. He is trying to spread awareness among people from the community and motivate healthcare workers to pay more attention to sexual education in the developing part of the world to increase the level of knowledge regarding the problem of HIV.
Conclusion
In conclusion, even though HIV cannot be fully treated, people can live long by consuming the specific medication. With the introduction of medicines, the number of cases continued increasing as the general level of HIV awareness stayed the same. It is important to understand the experience of those diagnosed with the issue, to ensure that medical workers produce plans related to the decrease in the number of cases.
