As a patient, I visited multiple dental offices; however, as a specialist, I noticed their advantages and drawbacks. Based on this information, I developed an image of an ideal dental office where I strongly desire to work. First, it should be a large, clean, and natural light space with modern decoration in a minimalistic style but with details for clients’ comfort, such as pleasant artwork, soft seating, and a coffee machine. On the one hand, it should contribute to the reputation of the facility as patients should see that it is a respectable place that moves with the times. On the other hand, as people frequently feel nervous visiting dental offices, their emotional state should be considered. Moreover, as a dental office is a workplace for multiple specialists, they should have free access to all areas of an office for a smooth patient flow.
The second extremely important aspect of an ideal office’s design, along with the accessibility of all inventories, is the implementation of modern technologies. At the same time, while equipment may be not expensive, all materials and treatment-related devices, such as dental X-rays and dental lasers, should be of the highest quality. They will ensure the safety and efficiency of medical assistance and increase customer satisfaction. Finally, employees’ skills, professionalism, and experience play a crucial role in the performance of a dental office. It goes without saying that the number of services would presuppose the number of doctors and assistants. I would prefer to work with four assistants who would work in shifts – the first two assistants on one day and another two on the next day. In this case, continuous and efficient support will be provided to a dentist.
