In modern world of severe rivalry every company should make great efforts in order to survive. It can create some new ways of advertising or suggest new and unique kinds of services. However, all these efforts can be useless without good and fastened work of companys personnel.

Usually, creation of a good collective which will be able to work fast and effectively, is a very complicated process. However, in modern age it is impossible to ignore this issue. That is why science of human resource management started to grow very fast and became widespread. Its main purpose is to guarantee stable development of a company, helping it to use its workforce most effectively.

Human resource management “suggests to the management team how to strategically manage people as business resources” (Bianca n.d., para. 1). That is why human resource management should influence all aspects of working process of a company. The diagram below schematically illustrates main components of effective human resource management.

As it can be seen, the main purpose of this science is to improve work of all departments of a company. Human resource management has its own recommendations and tools for everything connected with effective work of a firm. For example, effective management of shifts within a company can provide aligned mechanism of work of this company.

HRM contributes greatly to a companys development, ensuring improvement of its productivity, resolving increased legal complexities and recruiting best qualified specialists (Siddiquea 2011). Having aligned all these mechanisms of work of a company, human resource management provides satisfaction of stuff of this company, which influences positively general outcomes of a firm as satisfied and well organized people work better.

However, activity of human resource management is limited by some regulatory requirements. Its activity must “comply with all employment, health and safety and other relevant legislation applicable to the jurisdiction where the organization operates” (Odina n.d., para. 1). It is very important for HRM to work according to these requirements for a company not to be punished or imposed a fine.

There is a great number of different requirements which can be united in three groups.

Human Resource Management.
Regulatory requirements.
Federal Laws
– standards for safety, health, hours (Odina n.d,).
State Laws
– medical leave, workers compensation (Odina n.d.).
International Laws
– travel or international assignments, local employees (Odina n.d.).

As it can be seen from the table, human resource management acts according to strict laws. They are mostly connected with Labor and Employment law and some other laws specific to HR professionals (Human Resources Law n.d).

That is why human resource management has its own limits and a company can be sure that HRM will not cause any harm to it, applying new methods. It is a very important factor for personnel to feel comfortable and safety, knowing that their rights are protected by laws and all actions lead only to prosperity of a company.

Having analyzed information connected with Human Resource Management, it is possible to come to certain conclusions. First of all, it is obvious that the main purpose of human resource management is to align effective work of a company which will bring great benefits, by interfering in all spheres of its work.

However, HRM is limited by some laws which guarantee that all actions of this science will be directed to prosperity of a company and will not cause any harm to its stuff and other people.
