Communication is essential for future career perspectives because more than 70% of companies hire new employees to pay attention to their writing skills in conversation (Kowalewski & Halasz, 2019). It proves that these skills should be practiced actively in schools.
Lack of Emphasis on Writing in Educational Institutions
I think the emphasis on writing is not taught in these establishments because it is usually presented as an elective course, negatively impacting students’ motivation to take these subjects. As a result, other courses directly connected with communication present a lack of resources, as the students do not possess enough core knowledge of writing skills.
Importance of Writing in Business Interaction
The successful business interaction process is nourished with multiple techniques, where writing plays a crucial role. It is essential to properly convey different ideas and concepts, write strong and quality emails, and choose the best matching message formats (Hamad et al., 2018). Managers of different departments must possess excellent writing and communication skills to meet the target audience’s needs and expectations. The development of these skills is essential because they help to choose the right tone when conveying a message in writing to customers (Kowalewski & Halasz, 2019).
Impact of Writing Skills on Company Image and Career Preparation
As a result, the company’s image depends on the managers’ competency, proficiency, and ability to improve and express their language thoroughly. It means that the schools have to consider the importance of these skills in students’ future careers and help them to develop their potential. Conclusively, school courses should be reformatted according to the modern world’s professional demands because they state that business communication is hard to conduct without strong writing abilities.
