Do you remember the Cold War? Explain
I understand that the Cold War era began shortly after the end of the Second World War. It was not a physical war like the ones that were fought during the First World War and the Second World War. Realistically, members of the western bloc wanted to demonstrate their economic and military might. In other words, it was a war of ideologies. This situation persisted until the early 1990s.
What are your memories of the civil rights movement?
Although the movement began in the United States, it soon spread rapidly to other parts of the world. It largely agitated for equity on matters related to the law. Although the movement was initiated as a peaceful campaign for the rights of citizens, it later took a dynamic direction and started involving workers’ welfare unions.
What do you remember about the Vietnam War?
The much I can remember about the Vietnam War is that it began towards the close of 1955. It was a military conflict that took place during the cold war era. Although it was later referred to as the Vietnam War, most people do not understand that the war was also fought in Cambodia and Laos. The war took almost two decades before it could be concluded. It was similar to other wars that had been fought earlier since there were allies on both sides of the camps.
What was/is your favorite music?
Rock and roll were the most popular during our times. In particular, I still enjoy country music up to date. One of the most powerful country music that was released in 957 was All Shook Up by Elvis Presley. I still listen to its beats even today.
Who are the entertainers you admire the most?
Our modern entertainers have really changed the entertainment scene. In spite of their dynamism, I think the late Michael Jackson was my favorite. Female entertainers such as Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys are also starling performers.
What are some of the national or world events that affected you as a teenager? Why?
I was a teenager when the civil rights movements began. Martin Luther King (Jnr.) was a real source of inspiration to many, especially on matters regarding racial segregation. The rise of television, the Beatles of Invasion, the end of the Vietnam War, the Woodstock, and the Space Program had significant effects on my life.
Do you have a political affiliation? When did you choose it, and why?
Yes, I am a social democrat since I believe in the social welfare and wellbeing of our countrymen. In a country like the United States, I believe that social democracy is vital in our development. I took this stand after the end of the Gulf war, the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and the war in Afghanistan. I felt that our government should have sought other diplomatic options for settling the disputes.
What American political figures do you admire? Why?
As it stands now, I admire the leadership of President Barrack Obama because he has demonstrated to the world that he is committed to make America safe by fighting both internal and external terrorism.
What do you think is the BEST and WORST thing about America? Why?
I think the best thing about America is the high level of maturity in social democracy since we are no longer grappling with racism in our politics. However, our foreign policies in some countries across the world are very harsh. For instance, we have labeled the Arab world as the source of terrorism, while it is not the case at all.
Are you proud to be an American citizen? WHY? WHY NOT?
I am proud to be an American citizen because it is my motherland. The US has taken care of me since childhood. We are also a strong economy with able political leadership that the world can emulate.

I think the term “global community” largely refers to the wider socio-economic and political relationships that have been developed across the world, especially with the aim of enhancing unity and overall progress.
How do you feel about advances in technology? WHY?
It is indeed profound to note that the latest advances in technology have accelerated development across the world. However, extra caution is needed so that the same technology does not harm the planet.
