The result of cooking in most cases depends on the products which are to be fresh and clean and from the repairing process which takes sometimes more time than the very cooking. The process of cooking lasagna is not very complicated, it is just important to follow the instructions. To make sure that the process is as simplified as possible, one should get ready for cooking and gather all the necessary products at the table.
The process of shopping is omitted as different people have various preferences. Thus, one should place pre-cooked lasagna sheets, grated parmesan, Bolognese sauce, milk, butter, flour, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. The dishes should also be at hand, thus one may need a baking dish, two saucepans, two spoons, a wooden spoon, a whisk, a tea towel, a tray, and a bowl at the table. Once all the products are cleaned and prepared for being used, the process of preparing lasagna begins.
The first step is making the lasagna sheets ready. However, before completing this stage, we will have to turn on the oven to hit it up to 200ºC to make it ready when the lasagna will be prepared. We are to put the pre-cooked lasagna sheets into a large bowl and cover with warm water for 5-10 minutes. Put them aside. While the lasagna sheets are cooked, we are going to prepare the béchamel sauce. The first step in making it is warming milk (it should not be boiled).
You are to watch for milk and when you understand that it is going to boil in a minute, you are to turn the stove off. After that, in another saucepan, we will put the butter and after it’s melting, we will add flour. Having mixed the substance, we will add milk slowly when it will start to get brown. Stir uninterruptedly until the sauce begins to thicken. In the end, we will add salt, pepper, and nutmeg. At this time the lasagna sheets are ready and it is necessary to dry them using the tea towel. The lasagna sheets should be dried on both sides. You should wait for a couple of minutes to make sure that they do not have extra water.
The next stage of cooking is one of the most important as all the products are ready and we are going to place the lasagna in the oven. Thus, having taken the bakery dish we will put there one sheet of lasagna. The layering processes should be continued by covering the sheets with half of Bolognese and some béchamel sauce. The last layer in this combination is the grated parmesan. Then, the process should be repeated.
We will place the lasagna sheet, then the rest of the Bolognese and some béchamel sauce and grated parmesan. The backing dish should be placed in the oven for 20 minutes. This is the time that all the dishes should be washed up and the working place leaned waiting for the ready cookery.
However, when the lasagna is taken out of the oven, it is not ready yet. The serving is the final stage of the cooking process as lasagna is the product that should be eaten while hot. Lasagna may be served alone or with the green salad. Enjoy eating this delicious meal. Bon appetite!
