The purposes of an educational coordinator and a technology manager in a school setting include the provision of pedagogical instructional, and delivery support (Frazier & Hearrington, 2017). Since the person in question is often the main carrier of information, it falls upon them to instruct the teaching staff in the proper use of technology in an educational facility. The knowledge provided typically includes basic technical skills, software skills, troubleshooting, safety measures, and digital citizenship.
In the chosen school, the pedagogical design will be elaborated on using collaborative development techniques, which would involve teachers in the position of leadership. During a dedicated seminar, teachers would voice their primary technological needs about the curriculum, which would then be used to co-align the available hardware and software with ISTE standards (Trust, 2018). After the network is established, teachers would be provided with instructional designs in the form of manuals, videos, and question-answer guides to address the main features of the system (Englund, Olofsson, & Price, 2017). A lecture on cyber-security and digital citizenship would also be provided.
The third step of the program will involve the practical application of the acquired knowledge in an educational setting. Teachers will learn how to maximize efficiency in class through the use of educational management systems, electronic catalogs, video projectors, recorders, and other instruments available (Frazier & Hearrington, 2017). They will also be taught the best practices of using such, by ISTE. As a result, all of the educational staff would acquire enough theoretical and practical knowledge to deliver it to students and help reinforce each other’s skills through cooperation. In addition, yearly training seminars would be held at the beginning of each student year, to refresh existing knowledge.
