In the book “Letter to John Adams” by Adams, one of the most ideological quotes I find is “Women’s rights”. I believe that points derived in this quotation suffice to be regarded as most ideological significance.

Therefore my main reason for selecting this quotation is primarily based on points that Adams articulates about the plight of women in the society. In this context, she clearly gives distinctive roles to American women. She does not undermine the roles women which majors on their responsibilities in society (Dolbeare & Cummings, 2010 Pg.77).

One of the points that Adams talks about is legislation that aims at undermining their integrity. She categorically specifies that such laws should be rejected bearing in mind the fact that women carry the greatest responsibility in the American society. Therefore this point stands the test of being ideologically significant as it explains the plights of women in the society. This is evident since the quotation addresses and champions on the responsibility and stature of a woman in the contemporary society.

Another point of significance is her support to the critical issues that affect position of women in society. An issue that she states is her urging women to totally disregard measures that subject as inferior them to men.

At this point Adams states that unlimited powers should not be vested in the hands of men over women, but urges women to uphold their interest and those of their children. Therefore this quotation is a clear testament for ideological significance in championing for women’s rights in society (Dolbeare &Cummings, 2010 pg.77).

In Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s book, the quote “Nationalism and Feminism in the Black Atlanta” is ideologically significant. This is based on the clarification of this point. Nationalism and feminism in the Black Atlanta is believed to operate in a divergent and most discriminative perspective.

Candy explains how voter’s registration was conducted along gender imbalances where women were discriminated on voting and registration. The motive behind this was to render women voiceless in the running of the state as their numbers would not allow them to vote in their preferred candidate.

Poor gender representation was the overriding factor behind the move. Men were given more priority and accorded an upper hand on national issues, while women were expected to contribute very little in government matters. Feminism and male chauvinism promoted the emergence of this trend and thus the quote is ideological significant. This is because it expands the treatment of women in the society (Dolbeare &Cummings, 2010 pg.239).

In the book, “The Tragedy of Women’s Emancipation”; the most important quote is “marriage and love”. Emma Goldman states the importance of marriage and the problems attributed in every marriage. Emma states that, “marriage is a voluntary social engagement between a man and a woman.

Marriage life is accompanied by children that mark the climax of romance”. The writer states that tolerance and love should be the key driving principles for couples. However, it’s worth noting that disagreements do arise in marriage and Emma advices on the importance of cementing marriage with love and care. Due to conditions of marriage, the writer gives details of dispute resolution, as she realizes that such issues are inherent in every marriage (Dolbeare &Cummings, 2010 pg.123).

In conclusion, I am satisfied that the points discussed are significant and so are their explanations. They each represent an ideology that is crucial in determination of the social set ups in the societies and ensuring an equitable and peaceful coexistence.
