It is worth noting that nurses start playing a greater role in the well-being of society, and the scope of their practice is expanding due to the requirements of the contemporary healthcare setting (Black 89). The author of this paper is a licensed practical nurse (LPN) who has 15 years of experience with subacute, long-term care, and home healthcare nursing. The tasks performed by me included caring for ill patients and carrying out a variety of operations to ensure qualified care provision.
Apart from my direct liabilities, my responsibilities included filling out primary medical documentation, working with medical equipment, and helping other personnel. I was able to have a good rapport with all clients and did my best to be friendly and pleasant while also being a competent specialist in the various settings in which I was working. However, my desire to start the program is connected with broader tasks I aim to achieve in my nursing practice.
By becoming a registered nurse (RN), I want to make a greater contribution to the well-being of patients and society by informing and motivating clients, families, and communities to work with a team of professionals. I want to be able to play a crucial role in providing patients with information and training, building relationships between patients and their environment, ensuring continuity of care, and using advanced healthcare technologies.
In order to implement these plans, I need to acquire the necessary knowledge and expertise of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary nature (Black 89). The RN program will equip me with the important skills and information needed for successful functioning in the contemporary healthcare environment. Thus, the main force that pushes me to start the RN program is my desire to improve the well-being of society through high-quality care and serve as an advocate for my patients.
