The world tour of Manfred Mann’s Earth Band 2006 was just something amazing, and incomparable with anything else. First of all the uniqueness of the group can be observed in every aspect of their musical activity. First of all the brief summary of the group’s creativity is necessary to describe, in order the manner of music performance became clearer. The band leader Manfred Mann is the keyboard player has been playing in the band for the recent forty years, but the music has not lost its actuality. Original manner of arrangement for well known songs and performance have brought Manfred the world recognition of one of the best among other well known keyboard players. Together with the other high-level musicians, Manfred Mann creates the compositions which are featured by complex instrumental playing, thus, making the music easy and pleasing for perception.
The concert took place in the city hall, and the atmosphere of the audience was particular and specified like the group itself. It was the first concert where I was the youngest listener, as the group is popular ad known mainly among elder generation. It is necessary to admit, that inspite of the age of the watchers, the hall was filled with the spirit of youth, as everybody returned to early ears in one’s memories, and positive emotions had been felt throughout those two hours. Inspite that the concert had not been widely advertised, the hall for 3000 people had been completely filled, and the average age of the fans varied from 40 till 55. It happened, that I was the youngest among them, and it gave the convenience, that the concert would not end with disturbances.
The group has played their most popular hits like “Mighty Queen”, “Questions”, “Nightingales and Bombers”, “Spirits in the Night”, “Father of the day, father of the night” and of course the super-mega-hit “Blinded by the light”.
The solo guitar man Mick Rogers had perfectly performed his guitar obligations, and wonderfully sung the “Father of Day, Father of Night”.
The vocalist Noel McCalla gladdened the ears of the fans with perfect performance of the beloved hits like “Blinded by the Light” and “Davy’s on the Road Again”. Inspite of the age of the musicians, they have faithfully played the high-quality music for their listeners, but unfortunately it did not allow them to be in the prior shape. More then fifty years aged Noel McCalla had to restore the forces and several times left the stage for short breaks.
In the conclusion it is necessary to emphasize, that such music brings lightness, pacification to the soul, and the great desire to merge with the rhythms of the songs which became the favorite, and start living in that rhythms, letting everybody realize, that your life is full of dynamics, but you may stop if it is necessary. Moreover, the faithfulness of the musicians gives the hope, that the creativity of the team will be continued, and they will gladden us with the new hits.
