The Creative Task
Green’s books contain numerous essential strategies, and creativity is among them. Ideation as a competency is in demand as people devote more time to the complex tasks of creating new technologies, products, and entertainment (Greene, 2012). Non-standard situations and rapidly changing environments require quick decisions. That is why successful companies are constantly coming up with unique services. Creativity development is a massive trend and a necessity for any business because it is the basis of innovation, evolution, and ideas.
Play to Strengths
Every person must have an objective and clear opinion about himself. Often people see the positive aspects of themselves and deny the disadvantages. Others do the opposite, but it is essential to understand that one can improve only by considering both sides (Greene, 2012). A person’s energy resources are limited: there will be no time left to change if one spends energy on denying strengths. Moreover, seeing and using the positive qualities in liabilities enhances one as a person and a professional.
Widen the Vision
Each person should develop a broad outlook, which enables to see the situation more clearly, analyze the problem from different sides, assess capabilities, and find solutions. Success is other for everyone, and there is no guarantee that one purpose can be completed in several cases. The secret of success lies in the constant cooperation, moving forward, learning from failures, hard work, iron will, and faith in oneself (Greene, 2012). It is worth considering that in today’s world, money and energy resources are valuable, as well as information and ideas. A broad outlook is a basis for the birth of original concepts and design thinking.
Design Thinking
Design thinking skills are valuable because they allow one to subordinate research and work to the person’s interests. The principal goal is to go beyond existing stereotypes and habitual ways of solving a problem, enabling personal growth. The readings teach how to think about people’s needs, use the power to empathize, not believe in clichés, and not be afraid to experiment. It is necessary to create an environment where employees feel confident enough to take risks and experiment, step outside the box, and not be afraid to show weaknesses. This allows for a more accurate evaluation of ideas, a more reasonable understanding, and faster progress toward future success through experimentation.
