Inspired by Abu Dhabi’s stunning flora, the light designs display the city’s splendor and further link the workstation to its extraordinary surroundings. This serene vista connects the office to nature and inspires. The lamps depict Abu Dhabi’s lush scenery. The lamp designs reflect the local nature and add fun with duck themes. The office perspective and carefully selected light designs provide a unique and inspiring work atmosphere.

I explore constructing a unique table lamp with a metal base, stand, and a translucent polycarbonate plate evoking water. This unique design features a green rubber duck with a bottom-lit lighting element. The touch control will operate the rechargeable, dimmable table light. LED lights offer warm or white light to suit different moods and tastes. It is beautiful and eco-friendly. The lamp’s design is energized by bright décor and aquatic images. The lamp provides lighting and charm to study rooms and workplaces by combining quirky aspects.
Water-themed graphics like drops and calm scenes will give the lamp life. The lamp’s components, particularly the polycarbonate plate resembling water, symbolize life. Learning Processes
While designing the Moduck Table Lamp, I learned much about lighting design, interior design, and user-centered product development. Major educational possibilities shaped the lighting project.
Research and Inspiration
My first creative strategy was based on a comprehensive investigation of the many lamp types, interior design fads, and lighting types. Exploring well-known styles and antiquated influences, like the Industrial Style, offered several chances to create a unique and flexible light design. I gained a deeper appreciation for the value of fusing modern components with traditional aesthetics and the union of form and function.
User-Centric Approach
I interviewed and surveyed firms, artists, and low-light residents to understand their lighting needs. This user-centred design method had the lamp offer ambient lighting to combat the harmful impacts of screen time and concentrated illumination for specialized work (Hinov, Tsankov, & Ibrishimov, 2019). Knowing the audience’s goals and challenges helped me prioritize their needs during design. Research on materials has an impact on lighting design. Durability, light dispersion, and environmental effects were investigated for polycarbonate, silicon rubber, and aluminum. These components improved how the light looked and worked.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
I centered on energy efficiency and did many studies on LED technology to understand better how it may lower energy consumption and encourage sustainable habits. This information influenced my choice to use eco-friendly, low-energy LEDs in the ambiance light setting (Huang, Hsiang, Deng, & Wu, 2020). The instructional strategy firmly emphasized the requirement for responsible design, aiming to produce goods with the least negative environmental effects.
Utility and Beauty
Function and aesthetics had to be balanced throughout the design phase, which was difficult. I learned how to strike a compromise between achieving seamless integration into diverse contexts and producing an eye-catching light with distinctive design components. This iterative process brought home the importance of balancing form and function when creating objects beyond simple usefulness.
Reflection
My research into interior design fundamentals led to the Moduck Table Lamp, which was vital to its aesthetic and performance. I carefully adjusted the lamp’s height and diameter, paying attention to proportions, to produce an elegant, harmonious shape that complements varied home design tastes. The lamp’s illumination function was examined. LED technology saves energy without compromising light quality (Wu et al., 2018).
The lamp’s materials and textures were crucial. After investigating several materials, I chose metal for its strength and matte finish, green silicone rubber for its eco-friendliness and playful texture, and translucent polycarbonate for peace. Material contact enhances the lamp’s aesthetic and tactile appeal.

Product Design and Contemporary Design courses also influenced the light’s design. To determine target market needs, I used user-centric surveys and interviews. Finally, I used current design ideas to give the lamp a timeless look. Modern design incorporates comedy and historical elements in the Moduck Table Lamp.
