The two movies cover matters concerning social life and work-related issues. The first film, Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears, involves a friendship among three girls which begins during youth and lasts until their autumn ages. The three girls are determined to succeed in the Russian capital, Moscow. However, Katerina, the movie’s heroine is raped by a cameraman called Juri Wassiliev. In the second film, the main character, Zhenya Lukashin is preparing for marriage. However, ahead of the wedding day, Zhenya and his friends attend a party where they get drunk leading to unexpected developments.

The stories replicate real-life events since friends grow up nurturing certain dreams but split because of circumstances. In the current case, evidence shows that the three girls were good friends, although the friendship collapsed once Katerina became pregnant. The message being shared in the movie is that while individuals have goals, the path they take towards their attainment is not clear. Some people stumble on the way while others move forward. From the story, it is further evident that encountering a setback does not imply that one cannot attain his or her goals in life.

As usual, the girls had big dreams and expectations in life but they ended up in dissimilar careers. The movie conveys the message that despite being close, individuals pursue divergent ambitions. Delving deeper into the film, the message being shared is about women who lead single lives despite enjoying successful careers. Although Katerina is a strong-willed and independent person, she faces many challenges in finding love. However, The Irony of Fate shows the determination, with which one can achieve their desires. Despite being brought together by confusing developments, Zhenya and Nadya became lovers. Thus, the piece of art demonstrates that circumstances influence peoples’ lives in an unanticipated way.
