I interviewed Ms. Clare Edward; a self-driven business strategist obsessed with solving complex business problems while reducing the cost of operation. She is qualified in business administration and has a master of science. Ms. Clare is passionate about leading transformative change in the work environment and society. In her work duties, Ms. Clare thought it would be helpful to educate the community on the importance of recycling. She took the initiative to have programs that aimed to inform people of the importance of recycling. Ms. Clare was not happy with the pollution in her city, thus prompting her to start a program to educate people on the benefits of recycling. During the interview with her, she explained that recycling has many benefits, but her main goal was that recycling helps reduce the cost of operations.
During her program, Ms. Clare targeted a manufacturing company she had training in that lasted one month. Ms. Claire emphasized the need to improve recycling habits in the workplace, home, and schools. She reminds the people that recycling is crucial to the future health of our planet. Her primary teaching was cost-saving, which aims to minimize and use sufficient money in activities. Ms. Claire said that making products from recycled materials requires less energy than raw materials. It did translate to an overall reduction in the cost of production. Ms. Claire had five organizations that she trained in this at the beginning. The company followed her teaching, which translated to them saving an average of 15% in total production. It was a win-win situation because the company and society benefited.
Based on this interview, several conclusions can be drawn which are important to individuals as well as companies. Recycling assists in cost-saving efforts while also protecting the natural environment. Other sectors where recycling can be applied are at school, at home, or places of business. The fact that raw materials used in recycling serve as substitutes for raw materials in production and reduces the cost of production is a new revelation one can learn from this interview. It helps to reduce quantities of waste in the environment, helping reduce the rate of pollution in the environment.
