It is calculated that the reservoir is enough to supply human life support for less than 200 years (Hite, 2021). Another important source, which is at risk of depletion and cannot be replenished, is oil (Hite, 2021). It is crucial for transportation around the globe, and consequently, it is in high demand in developed and developing countries (Hite, 2021). Natural gas and nuclear energy are also coming to an end. They are also vital for economic development, so their shortage is associated with negative consequences in the long run.
There are sustainable development models, which can be applied in developing and developed countries to fulfill their interests and prevent harming nature. It includes the following measures: water quality management, resources development patterns, and determinates of resources development constitution. They can vary from model to model, taking into consideration the specialties of a particular area. For instance, it is possible to integrate environmental impact assessment, which is relevant in the context of non-renewable natural sources depletion. Therefore, these models help minimize the damage to the environment without posing obstacles to the economic and political development of countries.
