Introduction
Ensuring high-quality healthcare in the school setting is essential as there are many instances where children need emergency intervention due to accidents. In addition, the school should be a safe space, where children are not at risk of being exposed to the prohibited nutrients. Hence, the nursing process is an effective tool for ensuring continuous care of children and maintaining their physical and psychological well-being.
Discussion
The nursing process refers to the guidelines for the delivery of healthcare services in hospitals or other settings. Its key elements include conducting an assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment to the patients. In school settings, nurses’ capacities are limited, yet it is crucial to adhere to the nursing process to deliver proper care to the children. By implementing this problem-solving method, nurses should ensure that they make a decision based on the evidence. The knowledge should be obtained through learning each pupil’s medical history and collaborating with doctors and parents of a child to ensure the best-personalized care for a child.
Methods included in the nursing process may include collaborative practice. It is crucial for health outcomes and improving the quality of care and safety. Multidisciplinary collaboration increases professional insights into the health issues at hand, resulting in better development and implementation of care and intervention plans (Selekman et al., 2019).
Conclusion
Frequent interactions between different professionals involved in a child’s health help increase competencies resulting in decreased errors in diagnosis, treatment, and management of physical or psychological illnesses (Maughan et al., 2018). Additionally, including children in the multidisciplinary team helps improve the nursing process by creating a trust that leads to better outcomes. Therefore, there are many ways in which the nursing process can be implemented and enhanced in school settings.
