The paper discusses the cause of the increased youth involvement in society life, which is sustained in the frames of participating in Optimist International organization. The group focuses the support of child activities and the fundamental youth undertakings, which evolves in the form of providing sponsorship and funding to the athletic or creative writing competitions. The creed of the organization relates to the idea that the improvement of youth life predetermines the improvement of the world’s future.

In the process of cause involvement, two critical Internet platforms of Optimist International were inspected, which are the official organization page and a Facebook profile of the group. The web-page engagement revealed that the team is extremely responsive and open to any contacts with civic society. Thus, on the page, I found the information about addressing Optimist International with the aim of becoming a new participant of the club.

After filling out a short form, I received positive feedback, in which the team greeted me in their organization as a new volunteer as well as sent me a lot of informative materials about the group events. Concerning the examination of the Facebook activity, I found out that the new information about Optimist International opportunities and achievements is posted every two hours. Therefore, I find the social media promotion of the organization quite productive.

The only shortcoming, which was identified, in the course of online participation, concerned the slow rates of message elaboration. Thus, my request about joining the organization has been processed in five days. However, the drawback may be justified by the high involvement level and the shortage of the team members, who could work on providing feedback to the users.

The online research offered me a new insight into the cause of the increased youth involvement. Thus, I identified that Optimist International sustains excellent motivational activities, which provide kids and young leaders with the opportunities to contribute to great world initiatives as well as demonstrate their talents to the world.

After realizing the online participation, I deduced that I would gladly get in touch with Optimist International in real life for I am interested in bringing profit to the civil society as well as working with youth. I consider that the mission of the organization is noble and may introduce fruitful changes in the conditions of globalization.

The results of the online engagement may be related to the theory of connective action, which was introduced by Lance Bernett, in one of his scientific works. The issue refers to the optimal sustention of civic missions. Mainly, the scientist suggests that the promotion of the united idea may be realized through the application of the unique integration. The author claims that the unity of shaping common identities and discerning personalized organization data constitutes a foundation for the action.

The idea of connective action is distinguishable in the work of Optimistic International. The first constituent part of Bernett’s formula embraces connecting the group programs to the central mottos of the organization. The tendency evolves if one pays attention to the web-site tags, which prioritize the word ‘optimist’ in every post. This strategy makes the ideals of the group sound and common. The second part of connective action relates to the reference to personal accomplishments. Thus, the Facebook page represents multiple posts about the kids, who received certain awards for organization participation. Therefore, the complete mission integration promotes the positive relation to youth engagement.
