Nevertheless, the company’s TikTok profile is now actively expanding, and today has 1.6 million followers and engagement with posts many times higher than on other platforms (Oreo, [TikTiok profile]). The brand has 1 million followers on Twitter (Oreo Cookie, [Twitter profile]), and the official YouTube channel has the fewest followers – only 560 thousand (OREO Cookie, [YouTube profile]). The brand uses YouTube to post its commercials.

In the past, the company conducted advertising campaigns involving influencers. For example, in 2017, Josh Peck, David Lopez, and Danielle Jonas were involved in the campaign with the hashtag #OreoDunkSweepstakes on Instagram and Twitter. However, to date, such movements are not carried out, and the brand actively collaborates with other companies, for example, a collaboration with McDonald’s in TikTok. Furthermore, at the beginning of the year, Oreo launched a European campaign dedicated to releasing the film The Batman.
If a budget of $1 million were allocated for an advertising campaign for Oreo, the most optimal option would be to divide it into equal parts between social media and traditional advertising. It will help to reach all categories of the target audience. The #OreoDunkSweepstakes campaign helped attract new followers to Oreo’s social media by engaging influencers. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct a similar campaign with the involvement of new media faces, for example, before the release of a new product.
