The ozone layer refers to the stratum with the stratosphere that absorbs part of the dangerous radiation from the sun hence preventing them from reaching the earth’s surface. This film is ideal since it helps to absorb the highest portion of the harmful ultraviolet light from the sun (Nadeem et al., 2022). In some cases, it helps to protect human beings from the dangerous sun rays that may cause skin cancer or death.

Society needs to protect the ozone layer and reduce the chances of its destruction. This part should be protected in various ways to ensure that it operates effectively. One of the possible actions that should be implemented includes reducing the industrial carbon footprint in the environment (Seddon, 2021). That implies the air from the industries should be treated well before being released into the environment. Subsequently, there is a need for reforestation in the environment to help in trapping any form of dirty air that may be suspended. These actions are critical in reducing the amount of carbon, sulfur, and other dangerous gases that may destroy the ozone layer. On the other hand, afforestation will act as a powerful tool that will clean the air from the possible gases from the industry. The trees will ensure that they effectively utilize the possible dangerous air in the environment and make it clean.

Therefore, the government and the various environmental agencies should work on the best modalities for promoting these actions. They should set laws and policies that govern how the industries operate by cleaning the gases before they are released into the environment. Alternatively, they should work to increase the forest share across the globe. The application of these great principles will ensure that the rate of carbon footprint is reduced and ozone layer is effectively protected.
