Partners in Health is one of the most well-known organizations that provide charitable aid to millions of people every year. The aim of this company is not only to help people fight the diseases but also to make them pay attention to the wellness of other humans. Their healthcare system is spread all over the world and is mostly concentrated in poor regions, where medicine is a luxury.
The company has a great variety of different programs for all ages and nationalities: child health, cancer, and chronic diseases, surgery, nursing, and tuberculosis. Partners in Health are also concerned about social issues and the fight for gender equity and the rights of healthcare workers from third world countries (“Our Mission at PIH”, n.d.). There is no way to support everyone who needs aid. However, the charity organization found several ways to do it. First of all, they help to conduct researches in emerging countries. Secondly, in the case of the epidemic, they search for the vaccine in collaboration with the local laboratories. What is more, they support doctors and nurses and provide the necessary equipment in the disadvantaged states. Their mission is not only to make the treatment available but to improve the healthcare system in developing countries in general.
Nurses play an important role in the realization of Partners in Health’s mission. Their part is to explain why carrying about health is so important (Kelly et al., 2017). People from Rwanda or Liberia think mostly about surviving and do not pay attention to their wellness. The idea of the company is to change the existing situation and to make the possibility of high-qualified medical aid an essential part of every human on a planet.
