I have scored 60 in the test, and it is stated that I use selectively manipulation in my daily activities. I think it is true that I may manipulate people to do what I want, but it is only with good intentions, as I am not capable of constant manipulations. In addition, I think that manipulation is not always a bad thing as it can be used in a positive way in the workplace. Good leaders are constantly looking for new methods to motivate and engage their staff. Motivation is a crucial component of employees’ professional growth, that can be beneficial for both the person and business entity. Positive staff manipulation can be a useful management tactic. Teams can achieve goals of the whole organization and increase productivity of employees by using a positive form of manipulation to encourage workers toward their aims. Non-profit organizations and ethical businesses also employ positive manipulation to influence individuals to take action, ultimately assisting those in need and fostering positive change in the world.
Those around manipulators perceive them as sending conflicting signals. When it is advantageous for them, they pay others to care, but when it is not, they frequently pay little or no attention. This may be perplexing and frustrating for their coworkers. Competent manipulators do not want to engage in their own conflicts or dirty labor. To avoid being on the front lines, they will look for someone else to complete the task for them. Manipulators will try hard to arrange themselves in groups so that they are favorable. This is why I think I am not a good manipulator, and Machiavelli probably will not be happy about my actions on a daily basis.
