Introduction
Professional presentations require keen attention to tone, gestures, symbols, and context while talking. Many people are challenged to meet the standard way of talking before a corporate congregation due to habitual, ideological, or cultural lapses (Bruce & Love, 2023). My strengths in professional communication include respect while communicating, eye contact, and getting feedback from the audience, while my weaknesses include speaking loudly, which I find irritating.
Personal Strength in Professional Presentations
I have an exemplary way of drawing attention to my audience when talking in public by keeping eye contact and asking for feedback concerning an issue in context. For example, when covering a specific topic, I always enquire if people understand or relate to the point of discussion. I ensure that this is achieved by focusing my eyes on the audience. Additionally, I speak with the right tone, and polite words are often used when talking to people, which is key to meeting respectful conduct.
Identified Weakness
Part of my weakness includes a small voice that judges my audibility while speaking. When I begin talking, I mostly get distracted inside myself, making my points disorganized in my mind. At some point, I find myself unable to regulate the sound level, whereby I may be prompted to shout unknowingly. That means I lack the right balance of my voice, which is a concern because I may yell at the audience.
Strategy for Improvement
To improve the strengths, conducting critical research on how people speak is important. For example, I should watch multiple talk shows involving corporate speakers and audiences. That ensures one can learn the professional ways of passing messages without appearing rude or unruly (Bruce & Love, 2023). The weaknesses can be combated by learning to regulate the voice while speaking simultaneously. Additionally, one needs to have a bottle of water to ensure the voice is not distorted, take breaks between presentations, and take deep breaths between speeches or talks.
Conclusion
It is important to work on these skills to avoid being irrelevant, boring the audience, or wasting time without valuable, constructive communication. Learning to perfect a formal presentation in a corporate setting improves the ties with the audience and passes the messages directly (Salem, 2019). Additionally, these skills make communication achieve its intended core, leading to prolific interaction between people, which improves the quality of the relationship or business flow.
