Both new and continuing teachers need to continue retraining to keep their standards of profession high. This is very important because different aspects in education are changing from time to time. It is therefore very important for teachers to retrain and to be conversant with these changing aspects. Conferences and Professional Development Schools are of great help. It’s because they provide new forms of teacher education and development (Encyclopedia.com par 1).
It is therefore important to look for current programs in different places that are involved in professional development of teachers. For every year, schools should be planning to have their teachers participate in these programs.
I will highlight some major aspects that need to be improved. Teachers should use new skills in instructing learners. They need to use different assessment methods to help raise academic achievement of students. Another thing is that they need to incorporate technology in their instruction process. Business teachers should see the current trends in business, and so prepare their students for very competitive business careers. Business teachers should also partner with different business organizations to improve their career.
To develop a plan that lasts for at least one year will keep the teachers well updated in this dynamic world.
In the last three years we have kept abreast with the many changes that are taking place in Business Education. We are very confident in what we are doing because the students are performing well. However, we feel unfamiliar with several methods in the fast growing business in the world today. In addition, we have the computer programs that are becoming more sophisticated as each day dawns. We therefore see it necessary to have training on modern problem solving methods and technological advancements in business.
To develop a plan for this, we look through ourselves and state this goal specifically, measurably, attainably, realistically and that it should be time bound.
We specifically need to learn problem solving and to be able to use modern computer programs in instruction. This also calls for us to let the learners know how to use the appropriate tools in business. This will help them venture into business after school. Those are the targets that we want to reach in this season.
We will be able to asses our students as they work on different assignments, to establish our competence level in problem solving techniques and the use of new different business technologies. The better they perform, the better we will have developed.
We have registered for conferences that will ensure we are equipped with knowledge for various aspects in problem solving and the use of modern technology. This is to ascertain that we attain the goal set in this plan.
This goal is extremely relevant because the world is very dynamic.
We project that after every generation of students complete their high school, they should be competent enough to engage in business activities. This should even be before they go to college.

We have specific course requirement for teacher certification. Different states may organize them differently but all are generally the same. They are Information and Technology, Document planning and Design, Spreadsheets and Database Applications and Management Information Resource and Staff.
