Introduction
The process of psychosocial rehabilitation creates possibilities for people with persistent mental illnesses to operate as independently as possible in the community and to enhance their standard of living. Community-based rehabilitation is a multifaceted strategy to improve a mentally ill individual’s productivity. In a rural area with a dense number of people who struggle with mental issues, it is vital to create initiatives that will promote inclusion and support. Considering that in the area, there is a low level of functioning and frequent problems with the law, there is a need for interpersonal training, discussions, and physical exercise.
Discussion
Psychosocial rehabilitation programs are shown to be not only necessary but valuable. Community-based psychosocial treatment is advised by the World Health Organization to enhance the quality of life and guarantee the inclusion and involvement of people with mental diseases (Saha et al., 2020). Activities for therapy might include yoga, moderate regular exercise, group meetings, training in interpersonal skills, and practical skills, as well as individual and family counseling. The rehabilitation activities might include intensive awareness campaigns and psychological health camps. According to research conducted by Saha et al. (2020), 69% of individuals who underwent rehabilitation were effectively reintegrated into families. The public health grant funds can be used to finance the program. Meanwhile, among the staff members that will be needed to implement the program are nurses, physical trainers, vocational trainers, and psychologists.
Conclusion
Thus, there is a need for interpersonal development, conversations, and physical activity, given the area’s poor level of functioning and frequent legal issues. Yoga, regular, moderate exercise, group meetings, instruction in interpersonal skills, and practical skills, along with individual and family counseling, are all examples of activities that can be used as part of therapy. The grant money for public health might be employed to pay for the project. Nurses, physical trainers, vocational trainers, and psychologists will all be needed as staff to carry out the project.
