Introduction

Tourism is characterized by people who travel a way from their home place purposely for leisure and relaxing. The destination of travel should provides for the goods , services and provision to interact with surrounding environment (Peter 2003). In order to have the tourists benefit more from the tourism there is a need to develop the sector in a way that it encompasses significant development that would satisfy the tourist needs. Through developing the industry it will result into ecologically sustainable tourism which will enhance social, cultural and environmental conservation, therefore aiding and networking the business that foster and sustain tourism such as accommodation, transport, banking, air travel and insurance (Stephen 2007). Developing can not exclude the areas of high conservation value such as natural ecosystem, flora and fauna conservation and historical sites of social and cultural significance.

Psychological and sociological issue in the tourism industry in Australia can be approached through the examining the aspects in the tourism attraction that affect tourist specifically towards their behavior as far as interaction is concerned. The connection between the psychological a nd sociological issues is the fact that sociology will examine the social relations invoking the tourists in the the leisure traveling. While psychology will be examining the the behavior in this social phenomena (Terry 2006). Such that the connection between the tourists habits patterns and the causing factor for those behaviors, in the sense that for instance whether the travel to Australia is intrinsically or extrinsically motivated and social conduct reinforcements. In this regard the two related factors that contributes to the tourism industry but distinct in their scope to humanity are the key management pillars towards sustainable ecotourism (Stephen 2007). In Australia tourism and hospitality management systems psychology is used to understand tourist responses and satisfaction. Therefore the connectivity comes in through the use of psychological studies to organize environmental and social settings for tourists which enhances tourists leisure and travel experiences satisfactorily.

Main body

The Australian government and other tourism bodies have recognized this connectivity and as a result have made full use to organize their tourism sector therefore providing utility to the tourist (David 2007). This is in addition to other natural settings as the Australia landscape, cultural heritage of the Aboriginal people , architectural advancement evident in skyscrapers, traffic systems and bridges, general perception of well conserved environment are the main constitutes of the fundamental motivational factors that reinforces tourism industry in the country. Australia has the recognition that sustainable tourism can only be achieved through use of tourist behaviors knowledge to protect and enhance cultural and natural heritage to meet social satisfaction is only rationale for constructing sustainable tourism of which they have achieved (Stephen 2007).

The tourism institution is geared towards being a tourist centered that enhances maximum interaction between tourism experiences and the tourists. This is achieved through designing of the various involving leisure activities and sports. For instance at Malaga there is an extreme leisure indoor pinball along Victoria road that those who are funs and those who can take it to pitch can have a useful leisure through involvement. At swan valley cycle trail located at Guildford is constructed for both sport and leisure cycling, this purposely for the recreational tourists and sporting one of a bout 9 kilometers uninterrupted. The cycle trail passes through the excellent sceneries of west Australia with cycling friendly and quite roads that give peace of mind to the cyclists (Peter 2003). At Henley brook and Perth there is ell managed swam valley oasis supa golf that its environmental settings reflects the beauty of the land scenarios. The golf playing grounds involves the players to acquire skills in the game will they are on their visiting hat will be knowledge gaining, skillful sourcing, health contributive as form of exercises, exploration, interactive with host and other international community, earn from the game playing and leisure oriented through involvement (Simon 2006).

There are many leisure spots which are entertainment oriented that deals with social life for both secular and Christian based entertainment. For the Christian there is religion based tourism aspect through various gospel ministries for the religious people, in fact Australia is rated third in the world for receiving religious tourists including Muslims after UK (Peter 2003). Australia is such a balanced nation that takes in account all dimensions of social life and organizations of the people in the world theretofore rendering free will to visiting because an individual is assured of his social aspect will be accommodated. The leisure spots for the secular entertainment include the National lady entertainment world Busselton outdoor recreational complex which is strategically located at the base of the historical railway jetty at Busselton central beach front that is really attractive place and in addition, it meets the entertainment needs from music, sex, strippers, drinks as high quality wine and fine accommodation (Stephen 2007). Others can include the Altone park leisure center at beech boo and the south lake leisure center (Stephen 2007). The setting of these centers is extreme reinforcing the attitudes and pleasure seeking drive in the tourists and therefore offers the ultimate place to satisfy the crave for pleasure. However the government has really put in allot of efforts to make that the industry sustainability sees the light of the day.

The government have made efforts to promote and organize tourism institution through creation of various departments that handles tourists affairs (Peter 2003). These efforts can be seen in terms of the initiating the tourists advisory department that offers consultancy services to the tourists in Australia and potential ones in order to guide them on the national policies regarding tourism and the regulations to a bide with. The advisory and consultancy department is also concerned in the promotion of the industry through advertising and connecting the visitors to the other relevant department where they can obtain specific help while in their visit. Australian government commitment toward is evident through formulation of the key commission called Australian Tourist Commission (ATC) which conducts surveys and releases reports on the activities that should be embraced to respond to the tourists needs and the way forward in management of the sector (David 2007). In addition to ATC there is Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) that looks into all necessary strategies to manage the tourism industry trough using of Ecologically Sustainable Development Principles such as Intergenerational Equity, Involvement and Benefits to local communities, Global integrity and Biodiversity (Stephen 2007). Plans for the tourism sector of economy through Integrated Planning of the sector, conducting Researches to provide reliable data for planning, initiation of Regional Plans Siting of potential Tourist Developments and coming up with nodal development in micro business segments that would sustain the tourism industry. Apart from planning it also involve in the assessment, marketing and management of the industry.

The other services that are provided are designed consumer handbook by government that is found on line for customers use to get vital information regarding the traveling to Australia. Health services are available throughout thee nation provided by the has and traveling doctors to handle the emergency cases in medical matters in all tourist destinations therefore reducing the worries to people becoming mentally and socially settled (Simon 2006). Monetary schemes such as the Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) that allows the traveled client to be refunded their money when they feel they have goods or services of low quality particularly good and service tax (GST) and wine equitations tax (WET) (Terry 2006 p. 46). Adds confidence to the travelers in relation to the quality of services they are going to attain while in the country. Therefore it makes tourists feel that they are secure and loved in that which is a need of human being that is satisfied. This will encourage the behavior trend to visit the country whenever persons feels to travel for a satisfactory leisure. The Marketing of tourism reflects the Indigenous Culture of Aboriginal people and their culture and arts who are hospitable and interactive to incoperate the value people need to interact and acceptance (Terry 2006 p. 46). Natural Areas are well protected and maintenance of park integrity trough government funding of National Parks. This eliminates the effect of exploitation if left in the hands of the private entrepreneurs who could raise the prices that may not be affordable to majority of domestic and international tourists. In this view the government likewise takes into account the disabled and elderly tourist to have access to maximum and wonderful experiences in the tourism environments (Simon 2006). Tourist behavior is keenly captured that helps the individuals to develop codes of ethics and practice that are aimed at establishing quality standards of cultural and environmental responsibility amongst travelers.

Conclusion

In conclusion the government and tourism body agencies contends economic activity must be sustained within the constraints of maintaining a healthy and ecological systems within the country’s economy structure. Therefore tourism being one of the key economic activity that generates wealth in form revenue and foreign exchange to the government, in addition as a substantial employer of Australia labor. Therefore its relevant for the industry to be managed in response to the needs of the people to meet their sociological needs using psychological knowledge of the tourist. This shall ensure it keeps up with people’s leisure and travel experiences and incoperate dynamism in social life. But however the strategies of management is tourists centered which requires persons to be actively involved in order to gain much value rather than be passive.
