I would have loved to live in the Renaissance period. Renaissance was a cultural movement experienced between the 14th and 17th centuries. It began in Florence in the later Middle Ages and afterward spread throughout Europe. The term Renaissance is French and it means new birth. It had effects on every part or area of European intellectual life. This means that scholarly works to art to music and politics were affected by the new era.
It is this same age that produced great legendary artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. I think the biggest attraction to this era was the arts produced. The Mona Lisa painting is one of the greatest works ever done. The paintings by Michelangelo and architectural designs have been admired over time and continue to elicit a sense of wonder. I would have enjoyed learning the new birth of every aspect of human life at that time. Changes also took place in science with Galileo, religion, and self-awareness (Dobranski 277).
