Children dying from falling out of windows are a reported cause of death yearly at the start of the summer-spring season. This workshop aims to understand the leading causes of children falling out of windows and learn how to prevent it. Typically, the children independently climbed onto the windowsill using various pieces of furniture. Another serious issue is children dropping out of cars. The primary technical cause of falls is a lack of protection against the opening. Modern windows open quickly and easily, without much physical effort. The situation becomes extremely dangerous if unique fixtures or blockers do not guard the window and the child has the chance to climb onto the windowsill (Brás et al. 2). Children falling is a common hazard in today’s society, so parents should install additional safety equipment in addition to relying on their parental responsibility.
Children are curious about everything outside the window, including traffic, birdsong, human cries, and other natural occurrences. Parents frequently bring their kids to the window and point out something interesting they see outside. Infants can fall from a house or car window without knowing the danger if something catches their attention. Parents must be cautious in explaining to their children what is risky and what they should never do.
The basic facts and guidelines are that parents should not place furniture near windows, leave windows open, or use mosquito nets without proper window protection. Numerous tools can be used to prevent windows in cars from swinging open, including removable handles with plugs, rotation locks, and handles with locks. The training’s outcome was increased parents’ awareness of the risk of their kids falling out of windows and their study of new safety precautions and devices.
