Promoting health care is a rather important and responsible job. Many people can’t take care of themselves due to different reasons. There are many reasons for this, the most important of which is that they belong to a minority. Often this can become an object of stereotyping and failure to provide the proper care that is required in the service and health care sectors. This paper focuses on analyzing the health status of the ethnic minority group. The work will be separated on different paragraphs, each of them touches different spheres of lives and how they affect the health of the minority.

The general trend in the development of the health care system can be seen to be a significant shift in the positive direction. Current research shows that a large number of people are involved in developing minority medicine, organizing conferences, and providing everything necessary for developing the concept of medicine among young people. However, these activities are insufficient to fully maintain an adequate level of medical education among children. This study shows the steps for solving this problem and predicts possible future development scenarios.

In dealing with the smaller population, there are many inequalities, not only in medicine but also in other areas, such as the quality of nutrition. It depends directly on the family’s income, well-being and the relations between the members. Nutrition directly affects the level of health and development characteristics of each person. Therefore, it is essential to understand that by selecting high-quality foods and observing a balance of nutrients, a person will be healthier and more active, regardless of whether he belongs to a minority or not.

Barriers to a healthy lifestyle can include financial difficulties, family problems, your own unwillingness to develop, and limitations on necessary resources. The most important problem is the first, namely the lack of financial support, which can be attributed to a myriad of reasons. Few people realize that their health needs to be constantly monitored and refuse treatment, saving money. However, this barrier must be overcome by understanding that health should be at the top of the hierarchy of values. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct activities that aim to show the importance of health in today’s world. These can be speeches by personalities or exhibitions that focus on health and self-care adherence.

The social determinants of health represent the circumstances in which all are born, grow, live, work, and age, including health care systems. These circumstances are depending on the availability of funds, power, and resources at all levels, from global, to national, and local, which are influenced by the public policies being implemented. The influence of social factors on health is dominant, determining the action of the other factors.

In the case of family health, the causes of the individual condition are conditioned by the quality of life of other family members, their habits, as well as the peculiarities of the relationship between spouses and children. In the family under study, one of the most significant determinants of health is the age difference. It is largely responsible for the lack of an appropriate level of trust in the discussion of personal issues; this affects the children’s difficulty in discussing sexuality (McDowell et al., 2017). Both children do not know how to identify their sexual needs and the problems associated with them, the specifics of the structure and maturation of their bodies. On the behavioral level, the girl and boy have trouble communicating with their peers in the context of romantic relationships.

Relationships between spouses in their stage of life can be considered balanced. The husband and wife are involved in all the problems of family life and take an equally active part in the upbringing of the children. The couple maintains a trusting and respectful relationship; the spouses can afford to be frank with each other. At the same time, the spouses, over the years of family life, have learned to have a good sense of each other’s personal boundaries. A literate and healthy parenting relationship is beneficial to the sibling’s relationship as well as to the formation of their stable self-esteem.

Another determinant of health in the family is a lifestyle. Parents spend most of their time at work and do not have the opportunity to maintain a high level of physical activity during the day. When they return home, the husband and wife do household chores and spend the rest of their time reading or watching movies. The habit of spending evenings at home also affects the behavior of children, who are also not used to the necessary physical activity for the body. This can be the cause of immune problems in the daughter and mother, as well as problems with obesity in the father and lack of muscle mass in the son.

The financial situation of the family allows the parents to often order cooked food at home, so the family members have no problems with their eating habits, which means it cannot be a factor in the father and son’s weight abnormalities. The family undergoes standard testing every six months, including general blood work and biochemistry. No serious abnormalities are observed in either family member. Thus, the diagnostic focus can be shifted to psychology, sexology, and nutritionally. For the mother, a consultation with an endocrinologist and a thyroid hormone study is most recommended in order to examine immune-related problems. For the father, regular consultations with a nutritionist are necessary to help address the problem of excess weight. It is important for the man to consult with a cardiologist and phlebologist to track how the excess weight is affecting the cardiovascular system.

The daughter needs a consultation with a gynecologist to track age-related hormonal changes in the body, as well as work with a psychologist. It is recommended that the son to control hormonal changes, have an endocrinological examination, and consult a psychologist. The latter will help children develop an adequate perception of their age changes and discuss those issues of their sexuality that cannot be discussed with their parents due to shyness and the significant difference in age. Moreover, the whole family will benefit from working together with a psychologist to achieve greater trust in the relationship.

The most appropriate health care model for the case study is private health care. This model is characterized by the provision of medical care mainly on a fee-for-service basis, at the expense of the consumer of medical services, and the absence of a unified system of state health insurance (McDowell et al., 2017). The primary tool to meet the needs for medical services is the paid market of medical services. The latter allows patients themselves, based on the doctor’s prescriptions and personal financial capabilities, to determine the volume of medical care consumed.

The family budget makes it possible to provide each family member with the necessary amount of examinations and consultations. The state or insurance system of medical care imposed significant restrictions on the quantity and quality of medical services received. In the case of psychotherapeutic work, which assumes a more significant role of the doctor’s personality in effectively influencing the patient, family members will be able to select the most subjectively appropriate specialists in the labor market (McDowell et al., 2017). At the same time, the insurance and state systems could not provide the same freedom in choosing a professional.

Analysis of the average family showed that most health problems could be caused by deficiencies in routines and lifestyles. Therefore, a plan that will improve the health of each family member by implementing cooperative habits designed to increase physical activity can be recommended (McDowell et al., 2017).

  1. Introducing regular health-promoting activities, which include:
    1. 10-15 minutes in the morning or evening.
  2. Establishing a sleep regimen that implies a stable duration of at least 7 hours. It is highly desirable that all members of the family go to bed before 11 p.m.
  3. Including a healthier diet. It implies the daily use of fresh fruits and vegetables. All foods in bright colors: red, yellow, orange, and green, cause appetite and are of great benefit to the body.
  4. Developing the habit of getting positive emotions together. This is done by finding a common hobby that all family members would do with the same interest. Moreover, all routine activities which often become a source of burnout or fatigue should be accompanied by positive emotions (McDowell et al., 2017). For example, the general cleaning of the house can be designed as a competition or quest for all family members.
  5. Regular hardening. In an apartment, the simplest way is a contrast shower (the change of warm and cool water) and wiping with a wet towel. This both adults and children strengthen blood vessels and immunity. It is important to develop the habit of hardening in the morning when most of the body’s hormones are released. Besides, in a country, it is a food way to start regular ice or snow walking.
