Since early childhood, I had a dream of becoming a physician because I greatly admire these peoples work and the invaluable assistance which they give to patients daily. During these years I have tried to stick to this dream despite all difficulties. After leaving school I enrolled at King Saud University, where I received my Bachelors degree in medicine and surgery in 2004. Subsequently, I started an internship at King Khaled University hospital in Riyadh, which I finished with excellent results. Initially, I chose pediatrics to be my major, as it was one of the few well-organized programs available in Saudi Arabia. However, when I joined my husband in Canada, my eyes opened to other branches of medicine, in particular, to neuropathology and I understood that it had to be my vocation. Neuropathology gives deep insights into the functioning of the human brain and helps people suffering from neural diseases.
As my interest in this area increased I began to read and learn more about this specialty. This science enables us to unveil the mysteries of consciousness and identify the cause of many diseases. My love for investigating the structure of tissues, using new technologies only strengthened my intention to pursue a career in neuropathology. I always believe that a person can start a new page in his or her life and this seems to be the right moment to do it. On the whole, neuropathology is that area of activity in which I can do my best and better serve the interests of my patients. This is one of the reasons why I am so intent on entering this program.
My former colleagues describe me as a very responsible worker, ready to assist them and take their advice if the situation requires it. Being reliable, helping others with their needs, and sincerely serving the community are my main goals and priorities. While treating my patients I always attempt to establish humanitarian relationships with them and place myself in their position. Fair application of the moral code of ethics and complete confidentiality are the most crucial concerns to me. Hopefully, these qualities will be useful to me in the course of my professional activities.
Coming here to Canada and practicing medicine among professional physicians is the first stage of what I hope will be a bright future career. After in-depth reading on this fascinating branch of medicine, I have decided that neuropathology is the ideal choice for me and that I wish to dedicate the rest of my professional life to its study. To become one of the leaders of neuropathology in Saudi Arabia, I would like to apply for the residency program and fellowship at your hospital.
I took time searching your website and I was fascinated by the program and the wide scope of training that it gives. The use of the most cutting-edge technologies, ample research, fellowship opportunities, and accomplished faculty are the main reasons why I am so willing to enroll in this program. I do understand that I am not the only candidate and that other students want to become neuropathologists but on interviewing me, you will be convinced that my career goals, work style, personality, and former experience meet your requirements. So I do hope to have the opportunity to be a part of your team.
Sincerely Yours.
