Target Corporation is known for using above the line (ATL) and below the line (BTL) promotional policies in order to increase its customer base. The two, ATL and BTL, are intended at helping raise brand awareness and increase customer base (Gura & Gura, 2018). For instance, the company runs most of its ad campaigns through magazines, flyers, newspaper and television. In addition to this, Target has a rich social media presence through platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Target Corporation is a large discount retailer with a widespread network in the U.S. The company has up to 1,803 outlets in different places such as Apple Valley, Omaha, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago and Boston (All About Target, 2023). More specifically, the company has store front locations in all the fifty states in the United States (All About Target, 2023). Therefore, its efficient network will ensure its customers in these locations benefit more from the new service, pet grooming.

Price

As a second largest discount store in the U.S., Target Corporation targets mainly middle and upper-middle class consumers with its well-bargained prices for different products and services. Target prides itself as one of the few companies that offers price differentiated products that are unmatched by most retail outlets (All About Target, 2023). The economy pricing policy will benefit greatly its new venture, pet grooming. In addition, the business has a bundling pricing policy in place whereby two products are sold together at a discounted price.

Product

Target Corporation specializes in everyday products that are used regularly and at a high demand in the market. More specifically, the company focuses on many markets, such as: food, beauty, clothing, home furnishings, cleaning products, and many more (All About Target, 2023). It also supports the concept of single-stop shop, which aims at offering its customers better experience. The partnerships with other players, such as Wag N’ Wash will ensure the company continue high quality products and services at an affordable price.
