Psychological tests help people understand themselves better and identify the areas they can improve. The Big Five Test helped me look into my strengths and weaknesses. According to the results, I am pretty open-minded and agreeable. I am eager to explore this world and understand other people’s emotions. At the same time, I am somewhat disorganized and careless. I am extroverted enough, but I am an anxious person who feels worried and insecure about numerous things. These qualities can help me succeed in my academic and career life, while some of them can become an obstacle to reaching specific goals or developing proper relationships with people. For example, my open-mindedness is one of my primary strengths.
I am keen on learning and trying new things, which is essential in college life. I am a life-long learner, so I will be a successful RTV who uses the most current knowledge and the most advanced technology. I am a creative person who can make unconventional choices and solve different problems. The results also indicate that I have proper emotional intelligence skills. I understand other people’s feelings and have the ability to forgive. These qualities will help me in developing relationships with my fellow students, my colleagues, and my clients. I will listen to them and try to ensure that their needs are met. My extraversion is also beneficial for my future work, as well as my academic and personal life. Extraverted people manage to develop proper relationships with others.
As far as my darker side is concerned, I lack the conscientiousness that is essential for being a successful student and RTV. I am disorganized, and this causes some problems since I am often in a hurry. I am always on time, but I tend to storm in rather than come to a different place. I also forget a lot of things, which cannot be tolerated. In order to address these gaps, I intend to have a diary with my plans, duties, dues, meetings, and contacts. I will also try to prioritize effectively and manage my time correctly. However, my primary concern is my negative emotionality, as I scored 99. I often feel anxious about various things such as tests, journeys, meetings, interviews, even some family occasions.
I understand that all these events are exciting and can have a significant impact on my life. In the vast majority of cases, I pass exams, am successful at interviews, and have fun during the family occasions I am somewhat afraid of. Nevertheless, I can do nothing about my negative emotions that cause a lot of discomfort to me and my close ones. One of the ways to address this problem is concerned with my lifestyle. First, I should be more active and start doing yoga. Meditation and reflection can be helpful as well since I can focus on the positive aspects of the things I fear. I should definitely reduce the amount of coffee I consume. Finally, I will try to have a healthier diet as people’s dietary habits have a considerable influence on their psychological and emotional states. I want to add that this assignment helped me understand myself and develop a plan addressing my weaknesses. I believe I will be successful in my academic and professional lives due to some features of my character and my willingness to self-develop and improve.
