God commands the Israelites to march around the city for six days, and on the seventh day, as the people cry and blow their trumpets, the walls of Jericho crumble. This event confirms God’s promise to give them the land.
One’s trust in God is further reinforced in Chapters 23–24, which contain Joshua’s final speech to the Israelites. He encourages them to stay steadfast in their devotion to the Lord by reminding them of God’s dedication throughout their journey.
