Wrestling was an art practiced by the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians, and it is the first organized sport dating back to 3000 B.C. The modern Olympic Games are described as a display of athleticism and the development of egotism. The creation of a wrestling sport is described as a social phenomenon that can be traced back to ancient society in Egypt and Greece. According to Khojaniyozov (2021), the beginnings of wrestling in these two societies are linked physically and symbolically through the concept of combat as an art form. They were also historically linked through their use of wrestling skills as warfare. My major contribution to wrestling is to write a book about it and participate. I chose wrestling as the main subject because it is the oldest sport.
Challenge, Resolutions, and Reasons for Choice of Solutions
The main challenges in wrestling as a sport are mental and they include nervousness, fear, and anxiety. I believe that the challenge of wrestling to be physically demanding because of the amount of strength and endurance that it requires. It is also mentally challenging because it requires the ability to change positions quickly and to be able to read the opponent’s next move. de Souza Correa (2022), stated that the challenges of wrestling are, in essence, a challenge of survival which is why wrestlers learn techniques as early as possible. The resolution to these challenges is to be able to train hard, move quickly and read one’s opponent’s next move to defend yourself. This is a good resolution because it is simple, and it will work in any situation.
Predictions about the Benefits of the Experience in Future
The main benefit of wrestling as a sport in the future is that it improves strength, speed, and endurance. I learned this from the view of an outsider because before I started wrestling, I could not understand why people enjoyed it so much. Another benefit of wrestling is that it gives you discipline and character. I believe in this statement because wrestling teaches you to be determined, motivated, and, most importantly, self-disciplined.
How Project Reflects the Range of Cultural and Ethical Perspectives across the Globe
The project wrestling reflects the validity of different types of human expression by considering the sport’s physical, mental, and psychological components. It reflects the variety of cultural and ethical perspectives across the globe by considering how it is practiced in different areas. According to Gabyshev et al. (2021), the project reflects the impact of competing power structures such as social classes, religious ideas, and gender roles because many cultures consider wrestling as a way to increase their status within their culture. The project also reflects how cultural elements change over time by considering how ancient wrestlers challenged each other physically to maintain self-esteem. Wrestling is also considered a sport because it requires a balance between thought and action.
How the Project Recognizes the Impact of Competing Power Structures
The wrestling project recognizes the impact of competing power structures such as social classes by considering how ancient wrestlers challenged each other physically to maintain self-esteem. The project also recognizes the role of gender in the sport by considering how wrestling has evolved into a sport where men and women wrestle each other (Gabyshev et al., 2021). The project recognizes the impact of religion on human expression by considering how ancient wrestlers used wrestling as a way to pray for eternal life. Males dominate sports, but there are some sports where men and women play together, such as tennis or basketball. In tennis, women’s and men’s singles are separate competitions, but women sometimes play in mixed areas (men’s doubles) and vice versa.
How the Project Examines Cultural Elements Change Over Time
The project examines how cultural elements change over time by considering how ancient wrestlers challenged each other physically to maintain self-esteem and how wrestling has evolved into a sport where men and women wrestle. The project also examines the qualities that all people share by considering the sport’s physical, mental, and psychological components and the ability to control one’s emotions during competition (Khojaniyozov, 2021). This project resulted in the creation of a book on wrestling with illustrations. The text portrays many aspects of wrestling, such as the need to remain focused, maintain balance and know how skilled your opponent is by reading their body movements. Wrestling is dangerous because it involves two people using their bodies to harm each other, and a competitor can be seriously injured if not careful enough.
