From the perspective of dynamic workforces, the changes in the global economies are as a result of evolving demographics. By 2050, more than 25% of the population in China—up from 8% today—will be beyond the age of 65 (Jonas). Over the next 15 years, the labor force in Germany will decrease by six million employees (Jonas). Additionally, there is a drive to increase the number of women employees entering the labor force in Japan, where a 25% of the populace is over 65 (Jonas). A link to the shifts in international markets as a result of a social economic factor: changing demographics must be established with the decline in the number of people actively participating in society. Therefore, the evidence used by Jonas was effective in supporting the claim since they were backed with factual evidence or data.
Targeting the audience of policymakers using time appeal is quite common. For instance, Jonas predicts that by 2050, less than two-thirds of China’s people would be engaged in employment (Time emphasis). In support, Jonas notes that Japan has made significant efforts to increase the number of women working, led by then Prime Minister Abe (Jonas). According to Jonas, “the labour force has declined by just one percent over the past decade even though Japan’s “working age” population…has dropped by eight percent.” (para. 5). Despite the fostering campaign’s reduction in the working age, Japan’s labor force continued to shrink.
Analysis of Aristotelian Elements in [“The Changes in the Global Labor Market are the Results of Socio-Economic Factors “]
Ethos is the first Aristotelian component utilized in the article. In particular, Jonas showed that while wage levels affect everyone on a global scale, women are disproportionately affected (Jonas). For instance, according to Jonas, there has been a push “to get more women” into the workforce (Para. 5). The remark makes reference to feminist theory, which holds that despite difficulties in socioeconomic conditions impacting global labor markets, women are the most impacted, leading to gender disparity in such markets.
The article’s first Aristotelian component is Logos. In order to persuade the audience, Jonas employs inductive reasoning, an Aristotelian sort of logos that is supported by concrete data (policy makers). To demonstrate that the same tendency is present in the global labor market, Jonas compiles data from nations with aging populations, such as Japan, China, and Germany, and concludes the same happens in the other nations.
Pathos, or the appeal to emotions, is the second Aristotelian element that is utilized. Hustler Film
An American crime comedy-drama titled Hustlers was scripted and directed by Lorene Scafaria. Because of the difficult economic conditions, Destiny works as a stripper to earn a living, but her life is dramatically changed when she befriends Ramona, the club’s highest-paid performer. Ramona demonstrates to Destiny how to navigate through the rich Wall Street guests that visit the club. When the 2008 financial crisis reduces their revenues, the girls and two other dancers emerge with a risky plan to reclaim their lives.
From a socioeconomic perspective, socio-economic variables have contributed to developments in the global labor market. Because Destiny and her pals are unable to find work to support their families, they turn to shady methods like stripping in order to make ends meet. Regarding socioeconomic perspective and capitalistic working circumstances, the video covers the two study concerns. For instance, Destiny states in the “HUSTLERS Trailer”, “I just wanna take care of my grandma, and maybe go shopping once in a while” (00:0.30-0.33). This is a factual assertion since Destiny uses her grandmother’s to illustrate lack of employment. Ramona specifically states that “I always wanted to work with animals when I was a kid.” Ramona’s desire of becoming a veterinarian—rather than a stripper—was not realized, which is proof of a factual statement explaining why hard times prevented her from pursuing her ideal career.
Analysis of Evidence/Support in [“HUSTLERS Trailer (2019) Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Drama Movie.”]
From the drama, the movie presents three arguments in favor of the idea that socioeconomic variables influence alterations in capitalism’s workplace practices and global labor markets. First, there is a clear class divide between the wealthier and the working-class girls. Second, the movie presents a Marxist political economy in which the underprivileged can never become wealthy despite their best efforts. Last but not least, the movie depicts unfavorable shifts in the world labor markets by using sex (stripping), a societal degrading act.
The film makes a feminist plea to address the issue of gender inequality based on the aforementioned supporting data. In the movie, all the members of the working class were women, while all the members of the capitalist class were males. In order to illustrate such topics as prejudice, sexism, repression, patriarchy, and profiling, the movie makes use of feminist model of philosophy. In support of the claim, the video showed Destiny, paying a certain proportion of money to the club owner. For example, her boss asks, “My forty percept equals sixty?” (“HUSTLERS Trailer” 00:0.21-00:0.27). In this way, the working class is oppressed by the capitalist class’ presence in society.

The first Aristotelian component employed in the movie is ethos, which is an aesthetic that appeals to audience values and credibility. For instance, Jennifer Lopez portrays Ramona in the movie to attract audiences while it discusses the existence of gender disparity in the world’s labor marketplaces. Ramona claims that despite her efforts to become a veterinarian, she become a stripper and claims that “the game is rigged, and it does not reward people who play by the rules” (“HUSTLERS Trailer” 00:0.49-00:0.51). In this sense, she breaks the law and starts engaging in illegal activity to support herself.
In order to persuade viewers, the movie also employs pathos, an Aristotelian component. For instance, Destiny is seen to be concerned by speculating ““what if somebody call the cops” before she could join the group of strippers who drug their customers in exchange for their money (“HUSTLERS Trailer” 00:1.09-00:1.11). As it appeals to compassion and emotion, an approach like this will generate sympathy, energy, or even make a viewer mourn.
Lastly but not least, the Aristotelian aspect of Kairos is deployed as a rhetorical tactic that takes into account the relevance of a message or proposition as well as its position in the zeitgeist. Romano, for instance, contrasted her employment circumstances now with her childhood, her goals, and her early life. According to Romano, “I always wanted to work with animals when I was a kid” (“HUSTLERS Trailer” 00:335 to 00:38). Romano therefore makes advantage of the opportune and decisive moment, a period when the circumstances are ideal for the achievement of an important activity.

The American Dream
The American Dream is a notion of optimism in various ways. It suggests that everyone has an equal chance to achieve financial security and even greater riches, regardless of background, via perseverance, business endeavors, or other ways. Home ownership is a key element of both financial security and the American Dream. However, the so-called “American Dream” was thrown into question by the Great Recession and the subsequent housing crisis in 2008 (Archer 8). According to Archer, “Myth can become the scene of struggle in times of economic and political disruption” (20). In this regard, the failed dream in this article is connected to the disastrous delusion of Romano, an aspiring Veterinarian who evolved to criminal activities after financial instability and economic recession. Furthermore, in Jonas’ opinion, it is necessary to claim that the global labor market is impacted by a decline in the number of socially active people. In this sense, there is an association between socioeconomic issues and changes in the global markets.
