Good Writing has hallmarks that endow the author with certain qualities. Correct and literate writing can characterize the author as a responsible person, while sloppy and straightforward is the opposite. Writing is an essential communication tool, and its use must be sensible and complete to avoid misunderstandings. Good writing is essential because it allows authors to bring out their best communication and information analysis skills.
Communication skills become critical in everyday and professional life. They are formed with experiences and depend mainly on individual aptitudes, personality traits, and abilities. However, good writing and good management of one’s writing style is a factor that develops communication skills (Brink, 2020). Writing builds people’s communication skills, conveying information wholly and correctly. In addition, good writing allows a person to learn how to control their thoughts and document them accurately. It also develops the ability to communicate unique ideas and clarify difficult points through effective communication and management.
In addition to improving communication skills, good writing is an opportunity to learn to analyze and understand the background and ways information is received and communicated. Clarity of mind is an essential criterion for good writing, but the ability to understand whether an idea is worth pursuing is even more critical. Writing is a way of preserving information, testing it for validity, and allowing it to be used in the future (Brink, 2020). Analyzing one’s writing teaches one to set boundaries, develop professionalism, and manage. Analytical skills are based on whether a person makes causal connections between what is written and what the author may have initially had in mind.
The importance of good writing stems from the opportunities it provides for the individual. They lie in the development of communicative skills: writing improves the way information is transmitted, structures thoughts, and creates conditions for the competent and complete transfer of all ideas and opinions. In addition, good writing sets the stage for developing analytical thinking skills. They are based on verifying statements while writing, retaining critical information, and understanding the reasons for documenting information.
