One of the most effective theories in the nursing field is Johnson’s behavioral theory. More specifically, it was the first widespread theory that put an emphasis on personal behavior when nursing. This led to better service in the hospitals and an easier interaction process with patients when starting a dialogue. In this essay, Johnson’s behavioral system will be explained from the nursing perspective, and its impact on the personal quality of nursing.

To begin with, the behavioral theory is mainly focused on personal feelings. However, there is a deeper concentration of distinguishing nursing from classical medicine. From the very beginning, it is stated that there are two dimensions in medicine, and one stands for biological caring, and the other one is fully concentrated on the behavioral theory (Alligood, 2017). On the other hand, there is an interconnection between the person and the environment so that by changing the environment around the individual, it is possible to change their behavior. Consequently, every patient experiences the reaction on one of the important psychological characteristics, such as mental or social dimension.

The most important aspect of caring with implementing Johnson’s methods is that people should be in possession of emotional and physical balance between the patient’s illnesses. The most important objective of Johnson’s theory is that by using the “balance” of a patient’s diseases, the nurses could fill in this balance when the patient’s behavior either becomes better or worse. This will allow tracing the evolution of the client’s biological environment, which may help the patient to be cured better the next time. While the other person will be assessing the patient’s health conditions, they may provide critical analysis of the quality of nursing in the clinics.

Overall, Johnson’s behavioral theory played a pivotal role in changing the methods of curing and assessing the quality of nursing. While this is important to concentrate on the environment and its impact on a person, it is also crucial to trace the interaction between this. Finally, examination of the balance of patient’s diseases may be the most effective method to provide a nursing assessment.
