Primary Inspection
Primary inspection consists of a visual inspection of the integrity of the products. All boxes must come in a dry form and with a temperature in the range of fluctuations from + 5 to + 20 degrees (NSW Government, 2022). The lack of access inside the product box will also be checked. When nonconformities are detected, a detailed photo report will be made and an act on the detected nonconformity will be drawn up. Moreover, during the primary inspection, excise stamps on bottles will be scanned, one from each pallet, to verify the correctness of the products received and enter data into the system. This type of inspection can be called rough – it is aimed, first of all, at the prompt unloading of the machine to eliminate downtime.
Secondary Inspection
At this stage, a piece-by-piece inspection of the products is carried out. It is at this stage that sediment in products, defective labels or caps, etc. are detected. The attachment in boxes and the readability of the barcode on excise stamps are also checked. This order of work allows you to reduce the time for completing products. The picker does not waste time identifying defective products and sorting them. Its main task is to follow the route specified by the system and select the required amount.
Storage
Storage relates to placement of alcoholic beverages in a darkened warehouse. The relative humidity of the air in the warehouse will not exceed 85% and the temperature conditions of storage of various types of alcoholic beverages will be observed. If necessary, a range of additional warehouse services is provided: palletizing and cross-docking services.
