The manufacturer of Lego constructors knows that losing a favorite toy is a disaster for a child. The firm once received a sad letter from little Luka Apps; the boy lost his beloved ninja, on whom he spent all his Christmas savings (Haden, 2019). He had no money to buy a new toy, and his father advised him to write a letter to Lego and ask for a new ninja as a gift. Luka wrote a letter in which he promised to take care of a toy and be more careful in the future. The Lego employee’s response was very original; Lego sent the boy a new toy. This example most clearly demonstrates the manifestation of high ethical standards. Based on this case, it becomes evident that the joy and happiness of the buyer is one of the essential and significant aspects.
Therefore, customer care as compliance with high ethical standards is a key to a trusting relationship between the brand and product users. Giving a client something to solve their real problems is important. Customers are significant people for every business and not only for Lego. How a firm takes care of customers significantly impacts the creation of a company’s image and reputation (Buxton, 2022). Accordingly, Lego understands that it is challenging to acquire a good reputation, it takes years, and you can lose it instantly and often because of a trifle: not answering a phone call or a letter in time, which is expected, showing bad manners in any other form. Empathy is often more valuable than money, and one should never forget about the main thing – decency and nobility.
