The prospects of an overseas assignment are not only frightening but also challenging and intriguing. Leaving one’s home country to operate in a different country requires adjustments in culture, language, rules, and relationships. An international task could imply a separation from my loved ones. Parting with my family can be the most challenging part of the work. Family forms a crucial aspect of my life, and separation cannot be easy to adapt to and require mental preparation.
Being a new member of the country meant I know no one. All the initial friends would be away, and lacking friends with whom I will share moments pause a depression danger. This implies that I have to persevere alone in the event of a personal challenge that cannot be shared publicly. Work operational adjustments can cause workplace psychological torture that can be hard to adjust. Changes such as daily routine, task allocation, and division can be completely different from the initial one making performance ineffective.
Though an international task would be challenging, performing the assignment can be so easy for me. In my own country, there are diverse cultures as well as people of different languages. These initial experiences within my motherland will help me integrate myself faster into the new cultural rules, therefore, having ample time in the foreign country. My flexibility and interest in learning new challenges provide an added advantage to mastering the new culture. My broad knowledge of languages and ability to learn new languages will make it very easy to execute duties as communication problems will be resolved. The English language is an international language and is most spoken globally. My good acquittance of the language will promote efficiency in communication.
