The family heads go through different kinds of hardship in trying to make ends meet. In spite of the spirited efforts and attempts to try to keep the family afloat, other family members may be pooling in the opposite direction. Financial constraints are always a major drawback. These are some of the constant pressure and strain the leaders of the family experience.
The pursuit of happiness is a dread inspiring story of Chris Gardner willpower to accomplish a steady life and it’s written about a man who undergoes a lot. Chris was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin and he did not have affirmative male role replica because he was staying with his step father who was offensive and her mother notwithstanding her sad marriage was a foundation of support to Gardener.Bettye encouraged her son Chris to accept as true in himself and propagated the seed of self confidence (you can only depend on yourself.the calvary aint coming).after what her mother went through Chris made a vow to keep away from fear, alcoholism and illiteracy in his life as seen in line 3.the late 1970s gardener cultivated a profound wisdom of black pride as he became common with the workings of reverend Luther king.
Chris gardener, the gentleman whose tale of rising from grass to grace creates the root of the story. Chris gardener makes an important decision to leave a job of small security and joins a job to train as a stockbroker and thus he quits his sales job to train fully as a stockbroker on to appear in the office ready to work and find out that the boss who had hired him fired. Matters worse his association with Jackie had matured and had lay blame on him of whipping her which he was taken to detention for ten days. After the ten days he returns home only to find that his home empty and his wife and son missing. But this does not hinder him from achieving his goals.he shows up for an interview in clothes that he had during the days he had stayed in prison and due to his genuineness and intelligence he acquires the job in Reynolds stock brokerage though he still can’t afford a living.
Here gardener works very hard to become the best trainee and owing to his perseverance in 1982 he excels in his licensing exam and turn out to be an employee of the company while in Francisco. Four months down the line his wife comes and leaves the son with him which with the little amount of money he was getting he accepts to stay with him and since where he was living did not accept children he struggle with homelessness and not any of his colleague knew they did not have a home were for one year. They would sleep in the bathrooms and in parking areas until Chris got disturbed about his son Chris junior welfare and requests reverend to offer them a place in the church, gardener brings out the true picture of a man who struggles amidst poverty and out of the urge to achieve a better life and bring up his son in a better environment than where he was raised of which his wife Linda does. This brings his life to a turning point where his wife breaks up with him and he is thrown away from his home.
The paramount parts of the story are those presenting Chris under pressure to go into the stock brokerage which illustrate the adversity he goes through as sales man and this brings us to the story ethical where we comprehend that we should not let anyone avert us from attain our objective and thoughts that we have. This book tells us that Chris new what he wanted from the beginning. For example Chris was poor but he always found few coins to buy his son chocolate because his son needed some. Also no matter how demanding he was he got time to take his son for basketball and stroll at the beach. and even being without a roof over his head he found a humorous story to motivate his son in this way we realize that Chris was chasing after one objective and thus happiness.Tragedy will come on our way but this should not hammer us off the track and what’s funny about our spirit is it allows us to know that the many defeat I come across will not cause my go down and defeat come on our way to make us physically powerful and know our own self. Chris makes a decision that no matter what happened to him he was going to pursue happiness. It also help us study that we should be grateful for humble beginnings and in whatever we do we must do it to our best.we may go through hardships and at times life is intolerable but we should show love and trust to those that we love as we see in the case of Chris gardener who amidst all the hardships he stood by his son and gave his best to the end (Gardner 128).
In the pursuit for happiness we learn that Chris gardener persevered a lot and and did not believe he is the one to work to a relationship then that is not right one which this faith is wrong. For us to get anything then we must work towards attaining our goals. Where there’s no ache we look forward to no gain. We all must work to get improved results. For you to live in good bodily form we must consume healthy and do exercise. For us to survive happily with those around us be it in a marriage, professional or a family association we must be responsive of each other. Appreciate the other persons character, and their like and dislike that’s when we can know how to draw near them in this we have to tolerate with each other and swallow with what shortcomings one has.In the end we find contentment. We must also be ready to serve others and give or share what we have with others. When you put a smile on someone that generous act brings happiness to our heart. Each day we ought to do an act that will change one’s life. Is it volunteering in a children’s home, giving food to the poor or helping a needy person.
One has also has to find something that stimulates him and do it. We need to do that which we are passionate about forgetting money. This is because money causes all the evil. Also one has to find his potency and weak spot and get to know what your destiny. This enables you to learn those in your surroundings and you yourself, Chris gardener knew that he had a son to take care of and that one point of his life he needed to be a millionare.this made him orchard and hold on to his goals and dreams no matter the challenges he was facing. You should also learn how to do the accepted thing to your fate in order to perform to your best at the thing you are doing. This will help you fro becoming frustrated when you encounter those things that you have no control over the and also sets you above the other individuals because you know your capabilities.
We also need to comprehend the fact that everybody deserves the chance to do well in life.we need to trust in ourselves and its attainable. All these commencement help us to recover our lives. When we are in a place to understand the distinction between astrology and nature improvement they truly help us comprehend the heaven. Man and earth. This enables us too clear all the supers ions and the myths and help man in understand how the use of all this will aid in improve his life hence lead a happy life (Goldsmith 200).
Chris gardener accepted his position and lived with what he had and this helped him in achieving happiness. Also, there those that get contentment in loving someone. Life is funny and the chemistry behind falling in love is so complex that man cannot explain. When two people are in love with each other, there is that feeling that where one finds himself/herself trapped in a happy moment. And it’s advisable to create relation ships with other people who could bring changer to your life.
The entertainment in installments of happiness is boosted by an inclination to view through rose-tinted glasses, the surroundings though the most vital association of happiness is the influential mood of ethical disorientation. At is well seen in the western culture. Where it is hard to tell if a daily experience is good or bad. Policy producer rely on institutional of cognition therapy than clarification of the challenges that we face to make us happy. The state cannot teach us how to be happy but this is a state of the mind that comes about as a result of those experiences that bring a meaning to our lives. No one can bring happiness tour lives unless we decide to be happy (Goldsmith 240).
Self esteem describes how one feels about him and how he compares himself with the others and this can really affect ones happiness. If you have a low self respect about your self you may end up working so hard so as to be like someone else. You need to have a very high estate about yourself amid always remember you are best. In these ways you’ll get contentment within yourself and those near you.
Accepting yourself and where you come from is very important in the pursuit for happiness. As busy as gardener was he got out and walked the streets to remember the distant he came from. He puts two watches one on the right and the other on the left. The right one a Cartier set to Chicago and left roger set to South Africa. You don’t live a life worrying about those things that you don’t have any control about them. If you cannot meet the expense of a car accept that and appreciate what you have that way you’ll find a reason to be happy and also you must learn to live to the limits. Don’t live in a flashy estate because a friend of yours does. At the end it is your life also one must not live in the daily fears of what might take place later. In the fears you realize that this shapes the way you approach life. This can take away your happiness; don’t worry of what you eat tomorrow or what existence has to present. There’s nothing you can change but appreciate what you have and this will bring happiness to your life. Once you believe that god is in control of everything and that however things appear to be hard there is always light at the tunnel’s end. As we encounter our daily to daily activities there are things like death that we expect off course every one of us at one point of our lives will die. There people who fear dying and this has robbed them away they happiness. We work hard daily in order to obtain prosperity. We are not sure of the day when we die, if we don’t put aside the thinking that why should I work when am going to die anytime or if ewe let the idea of death then we will live a life full of unhappiness. We need to wake up at dawn and say that this is the day that God has prepared and rejoice no matter what we are going through. Also there are those who spend the rest of their lives unhappy and grieved when their loved ones die, others go to an extend of killing themselves which should not be the case, they need to accept that this person has died and life has to go on. We should not let this steal away our happiness (Goldsmith 204).
The story ends by showing ones determination , unwavering goals, touching power, and the longing to progress the circumstances for himself and his son, move towards fruition, due to his guts and his boundless hard work. Gardner demonstrates that if one beyond doubt wants to prevail over their individual condition, they can, with gradual willpower and with truthfulness and sincerity. He conquered all the unconstructive odds, and curved his existence into a constructive statement, and became a millionare.Happiness involves something that we should pursue always.
This requires a lot of determination. at one point in life sorrow will come and troubles will struck you but this should not make you give up and also one has to have a big heart because small hearts have no place in this world. When we pursue happiness, we shall have defeated most of the problems that we go through. This includes diseases like hypertension that seem to be killing most of our people. Secondly suicidal cases will go down and this world will be a second heaven where people live happily regardless of what they go through. Lastly I quote the bible that if god feeds the birds in the air that don’t dig nor plant how much then would he care for us? Thus need to worry but be happy. in the end Chris gardener becomes rich and a successful multimillion stock brokerage firm owner.
