Test Efficacy

The Tower of Hanoi is an assessment tool that is used by psychologist to detect, diagnose and treat patients who have neuropsychological disorders. In addition, the instrument has found a wide application in various working environments. Here, the tool has been used to ensure that there is total employee cooperation and team spirit.

Due to this fact therefore, organizations have found it much easier to set their goals and objectives. It has also been much easier for these organizations to achieve their goals while using this tool. As a result therefore, the human resources of many organizations all around the world have adopted this model to ensure that operations at their organizations are conducted effectively and efficiently.

The Tower of Hanoi therefore plays a key role within the settings of an organization. Therefore, for organizations to achieve the goals and objectives that they have set by using the tool, it is necessary to conduct an efficacy test (Alvarez-Arboleda and Maria, 2006). There are several versions of the tool. Each version plays a critical role in ensuring that the tool achieves its purpose.

Thus, the first step while testing for efficacy will be to clearly state the main purpose of the tool and the goals and objectives that it has to achieve. From here, one can use the different versions of the tool to measure the difference of the tool within the work place. This can be through problem solving or cognitive development of the employees.

The scores of each version will then be recorded and a further analysis shall be conducted. The results that are obtained will be used to account for the occurrence of events within the organization.

Since each version of the tool was used to measure similar components of the organization, the results should therefore reflect similar trends and scores. Achieving this will ensure that the tool is efficient in its application (Alvarez-Arboleda and Maria, 2006).

Test Reliability

As stated earlier, the Tower of Hanoi is an assessment tool that has found a lot of application in various organizations. The tool has gained a lot of popularity as a result of the success that has been realized in its application. However, before the tool is applied in any organization, the administration has to have confidence in it (in terms of reliability). They have to be assured that the tool will indeed achieve its purpose.

This can be achieved by repeating an executive functioning test on a similar target group within a specified time interval (Ahonniska et al, 2000). Different versions of the tests should be administered to the employees of an organization with each version being administered to a different group. For each version, at least three tests should be conducted.

The interval between the tests is variable depending on the size of the group and the purpose that the tool aims at achieving. The results of the instrument are expected to increase each time the test is conducted. In addition, the performance time of each group should also reduce. As a result therefore, rate at which organization work to achieve their goals and objectives shall be increased.

However, it is essential to note the differences in the test results that will be obtained from the different groups of the study. Other than the test scores, the reliability scores that will be obtained from the different groups should not have some high of variance since the tests were conducted at the same environment (Ahonniska et al, 2000).
